Steaks were not cooked properly. Lobster was burnt and tough. Deserts were also over cooked. Foundue was delicious as always. Our waitress was great but the bar and kitchen were very slow. We had a large group and some of the food was cold before everyone was served. It didn't help that 3 people had to send their steaks back for being under cooked. We used to love this place but it is no longer worth the money.

We had another delightful dinner at Rio Chama, enjoying the fabulous music of Doug Montgomery. The dinner and cocktails were excellent and we had a bottle of pinot noir as well. Thank you to Doug and the staff for a great evening!

Crowded tables, with a mediocre Thanksgiving meal. Mashed potatoes were cold, green beans undercooked. No bread or butter, very small helping of cranberries and some stuffing that tasted like it was a mix. Two meals, one beer and one glass of wine for $146. Should have had a Hunt’s Brothers pizza from the gas station.

While the food was fantastic, there were multiple issues with the overall experience. First, we rarely had anyone check in on us. Water cups ran dry several times. The waiter was nice, but it seemed like there were other concerns behind the scenes. Second, once we ordered our food, it took a good 20-30 minutes to get to us--and they forgot an entire steak! We had to go find someone to figure out what was going on, because no one ever stopped by to see if our plates looked good. It took another 10-15 minutes for the steaks to finally be correctly delivered to my in-laws. Third, to top it all off, they didn't even comp the steak. I think none of the fallacies would have hit so hard had they comped it; failing to reimburse my FIL for a meal they completely forgot to make is a disappointing move by the management team.

While the team that dealt with us was kind and cordial, and the food tasted great, these shortcomings are just too much to look past.

We ate here on the 22nd of November, 2025, and we were really disappointed on the food and the service. I ordered a prime rib which was brought out cold for that matter everything on my dish was cold. The price was a little over a hundred which is typical for a mid level steak house but I felt it was overpriced for what we were served and the attention we received.

My first time there. The Waitress was awesome very nice and attentive. My food was great 👍 but the Desserts was not good at all and there was 7 of us. They need a Professional Baker that makes Fresh stuff. The brownies was hard 😫 and the Cramburly was terrible BAD.

Went for a work dinner. Steak was quite good. True medium rare. Sauteed mushroom side was also tasty. It's not the most mind-blowing restaurant out there, but it's consistently good.

Hands down, the best authentic Santa Fe food we have had our entire trip. 🍤💯 We had the coconut shrimp, HUGE and butterflied. 🥥🍤 The Santa Fe steak trio was so delicious, with generous portions, and the salmon with capers was excellent. 🥩🍣

We chose Rio Chama Steakhouse after seeing chef Tony Smith on Beat Bobby Flay, not realizing it was an old rerun. Tony Smith lady Rio Chama a year or so ago! However, we were not in the least disappointed. Our entire meal was excellent. We shared a New York strip that was done perfectly, with just the right amount of char flavor. The wedge salad was fresh and delicious, and the creamed spinach was mouthwateringly good. Service was friendly and attentive. Couldn't ask for more!

Food was good, their medium was only slightly pink. Suggest medium rare.

Nice steakhouse inside the casino. Prices are reasonable. Steak has nice char marks. The sides are great too. Easy to fill up on the great appetizers and the bread.

Receptionist asked us to seat ourselves In the “piano room” event though we had a standard reservation. Serving staff was unwelcoming.

Lovely place. Quiet because the place was almost empty for some reason. As a matter of fact the entire downtown/plaza area was sparse for an early Saturday evening. Maybe everyone was in ABQ for the balloons. The service was very good. Wine list was not long but pretty great choices. I recommend the Daou Zinfandel from Paso Robles. The food hit the mark. Since I am not a red meat eater I had the Cedar Planked Grilled Salmon which was cooked on the rare side (perfect for the way I like salmon). My wife had the 9oz Prime Rib, also cooked perfectly. The only downside for me was my fish did not come with a side except for a half of a grilled lemon. So I had to pay $11 for a side of broccolini. I'm not a cheapskate when it comes to a fine dinner with my wife, but that's pretty steep for a $26 piece of lonely fish, wouldn't you agree?
