I did not go in so I cant rate everything, but I did order a couple burgers
They were pretty good could use a little more seasoning as they are bigger burgers. (Atleadt some s&p)
They packed my bun and toppings separately tho and in paper bags which was kinda strange to me. (Like sliced tomatoes and all that in a bag)
I understand buns can fall apart and i did get a gluten free bun, but they also packed the non gluten one like that..
Good looking out but im not sure its that helpful considering my burger still fell apart just from the size and toppings .
I think I prefer all the topping on the burger or with it and its ok if the bun is separate, this just complicates things if ur in the car or dont have many napkins.. I ended up eating the last of it with a fork anyways... Good burgers are usually messy anyway.
Will have to go in and try some more stuff & check the place out.
They have gluten free options, unsure about their fryer and if its shared.
Also I'm unsure what they mean by home fries on the menu online... I was not sure if they had battered fries but it appears they use regular potatoes as their French fries (The best way to do it really) , kinda wish they were cooked a lil longer but they were also good.
The red chile they had was good, didnt try the green but I'm a rojo person anyhow.
It looks like they have vegetarian options, will explore them in the future
Their slaw was not what I was expecting, it was a good slaw but under seasoned but also sort of a lightly pickled thing going on, very wet but it was kind of a refreshing thing rather than a creamy coleslaw, would have likes a larger portion (if its replacing fries there aught to be more of it)

I have followed this restaurant to multiple locations over 25 years, and they are always IMPECCABLY DELICIOUS, the service is outstanding, and the vibes are immaculate. Best cheese burger in the western United States!

Absolutely love this place, I've been coming to this restaurant since I was 8 when it had its last location. I'm from Texas and this is the spot I go for the best green chili cheeseburgers

Santa Fe Bite, 1616 St. Michael's Drive, Oct. 14, 2025: Cited for an employee not wearing gloves while handling food; an employee not washing their hands before putting on gloves; improper thawing of chicken; dusty kitchen air vents; a hole in the wall; a dirty dishwasher; cardboard being used to prop up the drainage pipe under the dish machine; mold between the wall and coving behind the dish machine; the sink not being sealed to the wall; improperly anchored carbon dioxide tanks; towels on the counter rather than in the sanitation bucket; an open back door; a dirty salamander; a broken slicer; dirty equipment; two unshielded condensation lines; dirty fan guards in walk-in units; a dirty grease barrel.
Great breakfasts and burgers.
Update: prices up a bit post-Covid, but well worth it. Grogu approves.

The green chili cheese burger here left a lot to be desired. Not sure why it was highly rated. The burger patty itself wasn’t seasoned at all. The green chili seemed like just plain cold canned chopped green chilis. It didn’t taste roasted or nothing. We got the fries which were little chopped up pieces of potato. We expected actual fries. It was difficult to eat potato bits with a burger.
The service was really slow.
And to top it off, it was really expensive. Not worth it in my opinion. There are better options.

On my quest to find the best Green Chile Cheeseburger 🍔 in New Mexico, I believe I may have found the 'Gold Standard' in Santa Fe. The burger has a great 'hand-pattied' texture and excellent beefy taste. The cheese is quentisential White American (with the proper meltiness) holding the wonderful Green 💚 Chile goodness close 🫂 to that beefy scrumptiousness! My only ding 😳🙄 is that the Chile could use a little more heat 🥵, but that's very subjective and should NOT keep you from enjoying a great burger at Santa Fe Bite!!! 😋 😍🤯

Very expensive. Food arrived before our drinks. $4.50 for a Coke seems excessive. $9.00 for a piece of pie is way too much. Almost fell out of the chair when I got the bill for one lunch. Don't think I'll go back.
