We chose this restaurant to eat as it is near to the Santa Fe opera. Dinners was at 6.30 and the first order of sushi came out at 7.15. A few other items came out but at 7.40 we had to cancel the rest of our order and asked for the check. We had ordered 2 spicy scallop hand rolls and only one showed up. We had ordered the amaebi with the heads which did not show up. All in all a big disappointment. If you are going to the opera skip the Su Sushi and book at El Nido which is far superior. If you want sushi skip Su Sushi and go to Izanami.

We've been to Su many times but it has gone downhill. The menu is not as good as it was -- rolls are unimaginative. Fish could be fresher. And we really disliked being bombarded with loud Mexican music. I don't dislike Mexican music but discordant with the cuisine.

The Omakase tasting menu experience at Su Sushi was outstanding (and good value, too!) A delicious trio of small bites as our amuse bouche set a high standard that continued throughout the meal. Highlights included a crispy collar of yellowtail, a variety of sashimi beautifully presented, seared swordfish, and ending with a yuzu cheesecake with tiny mochi ice cream! Sushi Chef created a wonderful and varied selection. Service was also attentive and friendly. Look forward to a return visit and chance to share with guests.

The service was impeccable and the dishes were absolutely delicious with the most remarkable cuts of fish. Every course of Nigiri sushi was melt in your mouth flavorful! Lovely presentation of each course too. We will be back!

The sushi is excellent and the chef is top notch. Anyone getting sushi elsewhere is missing out on something special.

I had come here last year in November for the first time to celebrate my birthday with my family the service then was amazing and the food was amazing as well. This year I decided to come and celebrate my mom's birthday and thought what a great gift and place to bring my mom to. I felt like the service was subpar, the food was also not as good as I had remembered as well. We waited a good 30-40 minutes for 4 pieces of nigiri and 1 roll of truffle with salmon and shrimp? Quite honestly, I was dissatisfied and disappointed that we didn't get an explanation of the menu, didn't get a thorough explanation of the food, and a lack of communication. I still had a good time with my mom but, I was very sad at the fact that this is the experience she got and not the one I had for my birthday. I understand there was a big party that the chef was also working with, but I would have rather have done another day, where we could get a better service and better food, than have to go through what we went through last night. I reserved and paid for quality of experience and food, this was not it.

Best Japanese in Santa Fe , no question about me. I am from Asia and I lived in Shanghai where many top Japanese restaurants reside; Su is the best in NM for sure.

The sushi chef is amazing, engaging and friendly, we sat at the sushi bar. The sushi is top tier and fresh. Highly recommend the miso soup and gyoza for appetizer.

Great atmosphere!

We’ve been coming to Su Sushi (or Sushi De Nido) and always leave happy, full and impressed. The picture is of the Uni, from Santa Barbara, very good and fresh; packed with omega-3’s but unfortunately like most sushi subject to availability! Everything is real fish, yes even that crab in the rainbow roll or others. We have also had just about everything on the list, if you’re open to the best cuts and chefs choice go with the Omakase. If you’re more particular, choose the yellowfin, Scottish salmon, Unagi (my consistent favorite) or others. You will be satisfied, and I bet like me you will keep coming back!!

If you're looking for an exceptional sushi dining experience, SU is the place to be! From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere was warm and inviting, setting the perfect tone for a wonderful evening.
A huge shoutout to the incredibly talented sushi chef, Alex, who truly elevated the meal to another level. Every piece of sushi was crafted with care, but the Big Eye Tuna stole the show—absolutely divine! It's easily my new favorite and a must-try for any sushi lover.
I also want to give a special thanks to Emily, my wonderful server, who went above and beyond to make the night special. Her cocktail recommendation was spot-on and paired perfectly with the meal.
SU has set the bar high for sushi dining, and I can’t wait to come back for another unforgettable experience. Highly recommended!

This was honestly the best sushi I’ve had, not just in NM, but in a long while. All the flavors were perfectly stated and the fish was fresh and tender.

Our waitress, Alondra, was gracious and attentive. And chefs Alexander & Sayra prepared everything impeccably.

Please make time to visit if you’re in the area. You won’t regret it.

I love sushi and have lived in New Mexico for 24 years, and this is by far the best sushi I’ve had here. I wish I had taken photos. It was extremely fresh, excellent cuts, and absolutely beautiful.

Alondra was a gracious and attentive waitress, and Alexander & Sayra were incredible chefs. I will 100% be back and can recommend this restaurant without hesitation.
