Back in the day, my aerospace coworkers and I would go to Gardena, CA and have terrific authentic Japanese food for lunch. Sushi8 is reminiscent of a small Japanese family restaurant experience. The seafood was fresh; I'll be back.

Absolutely terrible service! Completely empty restaurant but the food took more than 30 minutes. Some members of our party got food 15 min before others, leaving people to eat by themselves. Extremely unfriendly service and definitely gave us a very poor impression of hospitality in Santa Fe.

Today was our first time trying sushi8 and it was amazing! We ordered to-go and had the classic California roll, Dream roll, Hello Kitty roll and the hibachi shrimp! Going back soon! Also the Thai tea’s were perfect!! They come in the cutest to-go cups? love it!Parking: It was easy to find a spot to park.Kid-friendliness: The staff was great with our kids!

Good little find, although it took a bit to find it as it's inside one of the malls in the square area. Food was good, service was good. Reasonably priced.

We had a wonderful time at Sushi8! The sushi was fantastic, I would highly recommend the Hello Kitty roll. The atmosphere is very nice and welcoming and the staff is super nice. Everything came to the table quick and it was all delicious. If you're ever looking for sushi in Santa Fe, go to Sushi8!

The food was great and the service was timely and accommodating! The prices are a bit high, but you get quality product and specifically with the nigri the pieces of fish are comparable to what you are paying. The seating is limited, and the live edge wood tables have food stuck in them, from what looks like months to years ago. I think it would have been the perfect experience if these tables had a glass top for cleanliness. Overall, recommend for the food and even though there was an initial miscommunication on the order they fixed it expeditiously.
We ordered take out and reviews seemed optimistic.... A little less than average sushi, but I guess it is Santa Fe. The rainbow roll did not taste fresh and the other rolls had a lot of sauce masking the mediocre quality of fish. Hope I don't get sick as we are on a road trip.

I hadn't had sushi in Santa Fe in a little while and this place was open in the mid afternoon when we wanted to go. It's part of a ground level mall on the south side of the plaza. It's at the back end and a number of tables have window views, but it's out to the street below and the parking lot. But natural light. There is a sushi bar, but there was only one chair. Not one chair available; only one chair. It felt a bit lonely. We took a table. Prompt and pleasant service, but our server didn't know the answers to what seemed to be straightforward questions about the menu and for instance had to ask the chef whether they had uni or hamachikama. They didn't. Limited sushi/sashimi menu and if it's not on the menu, apparently it's not available. No daily specials. The seaweed salad was the best. Gyoza and Japanese spring rolls were OK. Yellowtail/green onion roll, and an eel/avocado roll were both just OK, but uninspiring. very reasonably priced. All of the above under $45 before tip. I long for the days of Sakura and Shoko.
