Fantastic service and food! Massive and delicious green chile burger.. It could be a little hotter for my taste but very juicy and good ? I also got to try their espresso shake because they made extra and gave me some. It was delicious and I will definitely be back!

Drove 664 miles from Kearney, NE to have their infamous green chili burger. We were so excited they reopened our favorite Santa Fe destination. Our compliments to the new owners, chef, and the cordial, attentive staff.

The atmosphere was good and the decor was nice. Our booth was clean and our waitress was great also. We had a question about using the AARP service but they do not accept it which is fine. It would be nice though considering the price of food. We got the cheeseburger and chicken enchiladas. I would give the food 2 stars. The chicken inside wasn't shredded so it was tough to eat also it was dry. The hamburger has no seasoning also and we didn't understand the hype for it being the best in Santa Fe? The potato chips also had no seasoning which was disappointing. I don't know if the pies are homemade but for $7 it taste like a store bought pie (cold). Mediocre is what comes to mind for the food overall.

GREAT huge burgers! Burgers in the $12 to $16 range. Other menu items too... sandwiches, fish and chips, steaks, soups and salads. Outdoor seating with umbrellas for shade. Friendly servers. Dogs welcome outside. Family friendly. Wheelchair accessible. Easy parking. I definitely recommend eating here! ?

I'm honestly pretty dishearted to be posting this. Before they switched locations it was a great experience. For a $15 burger and an upcharge for fries I was really disappointed in what I got. Burger was good, but the bun came in a package on the side which was a bit off-putting. Fries were so soggy they were inedible. Was told I had to wait outside and call for pick up order. Phone went straight to voice-mail 5 times before someone answered. Seemed unnecessary to have to wait in my car when it's hard to get a hold of them. For the reputation this place has I'm shocked. I'd expect this from a low grade place, not top burgers in Santa fe. I feel like I was swindled out of the $25 I spent to have a burger here. The woman who took my order was nice and that was the only thing really worth the money I spent.

While passing through Santa Fe we found this little spot to eat and it did not disappoint! Food was incredible and cooked perfectly. Food was cooked and brought out to the table incredibly quick. Our waitress was very sweet and on top of everything. So glad we didn’t miss out on this delicious food. And the Route 66 and dinosaur decor was super cute! They also had a chalkboard in the restroom to leave compliments and notes. Would definitely visit again.

This new location is town is much more roomier and in a better location when it comes to parking. The manager and the staff all were very professional and attentive. Our waiter was on top of our needs and our refreshment were always full. They have a wide variety of selection in the menu. They also have deserts and you can buy the whole cake as a piece. I would definitely recommend this place and return when we are in town.

Friendly greeting, good burger. Everything came out as ordered. My preference would have been to have a smaller hamburger bun, it was a challenge to eat. That being said, it was nice bread. The Beef Patty itself was very good in flavor and fat, cooked correctly. I couldn't tell there was bacon on it though, it needs more bacon! It came with "chips". I definitely should have ordered fries for the extra dollar because the chips were a sad waste. But for over $15.00 how did it not come with fries? Overall, it was good but overpriced for what it was. They were taking people's temperatures to dine in fyi. The restaurant is big, roomy and clean.

100% recommend! Especially considering it's America's top 5 best burger places (from what I've heard). The atmosphere feels greats, the employees are friendly, and the food is 10/10. According to some people, the menu is a little hard to read at first given the text isn't very spread out, but the food is still absolutely delicious. They even have a little coffee shop inside! A small alcohol selection but that's fine since it's a Burger place and not primarily a bar or anything. 100% would definitely come here again, and definitely recommend coming here if you're ever in Santa Fe.

Great burgers - especially the 10oz. green chile cheeseburger! Also loved the warmed brownie and chocolate shake. The staff were super-friendly and the place was clean and spacious. Not the same as the old Bobcat Bite, yet still one of the best burgers in the U.S.!

So sad to hear it closed. I was there 35 years ago, and remember having a fantastic breakfast. I even wrote to the owners to request a recipe for one of their breads - and they sent it to me! I was looking forward to going again, but.....great memories, at any rate.

We enjoyed eating at Tecolote for the last 37 years. It was one of "THE" iconic Santa Fe restaurants. Thanks for years of wonderful meals...!!!

Ate here for breakfast today, with another person. Both of our eggs were dry, and my potatoes were undercooked. The whole plate needed some seasoning as well. The bakery basket, as always, was the highlight of the meal. I always recommend that. Also, the service could use some help. Our server seemed to have been doing the whole restaurant, so we were often left alone for too long. And she wasn't exactly welcoming, asking for our drink order before we even sat down, and always seemed to be short with us, and in a hurry. With all the wonderful breakfast places for breakfast in Santa Fe, I don't think I'll be coming back here soon.

I really like eating here. The plates are large and the chile spicy. I ordered a plate of potatoes and eggs smothered with chile and cheese called the Sheepherder's breakfast, and I loved it. I recommend the bakery baskets, full of delicious fresh bread. Looking forward to coming back next time I'm in town!
