If we go back to Santa Fe NM I may come and try it. On DDD on Food Network.

If you have your appetite all set for the delicious-sounding Mediterranean food at Beestro, adjust your expectations. I took my daughter to lunch today for her birthday. She picked Beestro anticipating falafel, humus, etc. When we arrived, a sign on their door said they had moved. We went to their new location only to find their menu had changed to a brief assortment of crepes and a daily soup special. We decided to stay and give it a whirl. Not memorable. I owe my daughter lunch at a local Greek restaurant soon!

Honestly blown away by the customer service offered during our trip. I mentioned my companion was sick and the chef insisted i try the minestrone soup, and a ginger tea. He quickly packed up everything to go and I chose 2 cookies as well. The sincere concern of the chef & quality of everything will always be a fond memory. Thank you!

Really unimpressed by the way this business is run. As a local and downtown worker who also works in customer service... I am appalled by the owners behavior. He will put his ego behind his "perfect sandwiches" ahead of giving a customer what the want. Ask other locals about his reputation before eating here. Ego will be the death of this business. Go to Henry and the fish by the Lensic -- run by a family who cares about what their clients want.

Decent sandwiches. The toast it for you and add condiments. Served on a plate plain, no pickle or chips, like. NYC deli. Just eh vibe.

Can I give negative stars?? This was the worst (and most combative) experience I've had while trying to simply get coffee. The cashier was a nice young lady who may have lacked some experience but was making her best effort to ring in our drinks appropriately. However, once the owner noticed a mistake he came over and corrected her in a very negative and degrading demeanor. I decided to let it go until the owner decided it was still appropriate to repeatedly humiliate the cashier in front of paying customers. With years in the service industry this is not how a well suited superior/manager/owner should treat their staff. No one should be made to feel less than and especially in front of others. Upon confronting the owner about his embarrassing behavior he insinuated that I was drunk and made multiple excuses for his piss poor behavior without ever apologizing. If you have a moral compass you'll take your business elsewhere.

Rude and combative owner who seemed to enjoy demeaning his staff. The staff member was inexperienced but pleasant to us and clearly trying. The owner repeatedly corrected her in the most demeaning and humiliating way right in front of us. I have worked in service. He was over the top. He just continuously berated her in front of us. We went in to mention our unease and he became immediately combative and accused us of being drunk. He kept his finger in our faces. He made some offensive and bizarre excuse that a baby died earlier in the day (he should have closed down if it was so emotional for him that he can't run his cafe) and escorted us out with incredible anger and hostility. I wish his staff could afford to just walk out. No one deserves that treatment.

The manager is the most degrading and hateful person I have ever been exposed to. An employee was struggling. But took it in stride. He continuously berated her in front of us. It was repeated and humiliating for her and shouldn't have happened in front of guests. We went in to mention our unease and he accused us of being drunk (one margarita at lunch). He said a baby died earlier in the day (he should have closed down if it was so emotional for him that he can't run his cafe) and escorted us out with his finger in our face. Unreal. Spend your money somewhere else.

There has been a previous review written about an incident that happened today. This place has a lot of great reviews in a cool part of town and perhaps this was the manager (or perhaps owners) bad day but I believe it to a symptom of a deeper issue. A group of four of us came in to grab some coffee and were greeted by a cashier who perhaps was new because she seemed to be struggling a little. Rather than wait until customers are not in ear shot, on multiple times the man wearing a chef coat despite only working the coffee machine corrected her in a degrading way in front of us. You don't do that in front of guests as it's incredibly belittling and unprofessional. The girl seemed young and inexperienced and frankly if I was her I would have walked out. He interrupted her during the middle of her taking our order to correct her abbreviation for matcha, which during the super unnecessary confusion she forget to ring in food. Frankly the whole order was rocking because he kept interrupting the process to correct her. So upon further contemplation, and being former hospitality workers, two of us decided to politely pull him aside and tell him how uncomfortable it was. We tried to talk to him to which he literally turned his back to us, passive aggressively asked if we had been drinking (a margarita at lunch right before at Maria's--btw 5 stars to them) in an attempt to discredit our point, and belittled us publicly as well. Then he said a baby died in the cafe earlier. That's horrible. Like absolutely horrible and I'm so sorry for that family. The store owner however doesn't get to be the victim in this, that would be the family who lost their child. And if you are so emotionally distraught from it that you are unable to conduct yourself in a professional manner at work: close your cafe down. And frankly he didn't seem a bit bothered, smiling and laughing with a woman who just purchased art from his wall. So a little shocked, we told another member of our group who went in to talk to him--not as polite as before but still more professionally than he talks to his staff. He then continued to physically push her out of the door before she could even finish her sentence and was holding his finger up his finger to her face the entire time. We literally have the video. As we left we handed the cashier girl $20 and told her to walk out and she'll find another job but not to allow herself to be treated that way. Apparently this guy doesn't have the best rapport with his staff because they all waved at us with huge smiles. It appears, aside from infant fatalities, he treats his employees like crap. Oh yeah the coffee wasn't even that good. My advice spend your money at places that not only value their guest but also treat their staff like human beings.

Some of the worst Mediterranean food I've ever had. Dreadful falafel, bland harissa, and packaged gyro meat.

Really good tasting high quality food. It's hard to find anything vegetarian in this town but the falafel sandwich is to die for!
