I am a Santa Fe local and had an amazing experience at the compound with my nine-year-old son. The food was amazing! We got lobster cake, squash risotto, Lamb shank, and the crème brûlée. Every single thing exceeded our expectations. The service was friendly and warm, especially considering the fact that I had a child with me. My son is a foodie and couldn't stop raving about the food. We will definitely be back soon.

The Compound Restaurant exceeded our expectations - from the atmosphere to the service! We had the Maine Lobster, Bay Scallops with Wild Mushrooms and Organic Stone-Ground Polenta, and fries. For dessert, we couldn’t resist the Compound Opera Cake was absolutely amazing! The wine selection was fantastic too. Can’t wait to come back!

Wonderful dining experience with tasty food and amazing house made sourdough faccacia and butter...I had so many pieces; it was addicting. Service was thoughtful and the environment was nice to eat in with pretty ambience. The drinks were expensive as expected and I really enjoyed the strawberry blossom. There is plenty of parking, which is surprising for the Canyon Road area. I hope to eat here again.

Terrible atmosphere and past its prime. This was a restaurant I found on a Santa Fe guide. It’s about 25-30 minutes from town. It was not busy when I arrived during dinner and the overall decor was outdated. The restaurant touts a James Beard award, but that was in the year 2000! Sadly, overall way below what you’d expect or others describe.

Compound used to be a first class experience.
Veal was significantly undercooked combined w poor quality meat made it almost inedible. (No - I’m not the guy to ever send it back). Taking it home for a try on the smoker to see if I can improve it. The cheddar soup was thin and bland. For a high dollar restaurant (over $100 per person) I expect a better experience. Service was good not great. Don’t think I’ll be back anytime soon.
Note: Apparently the pasta dish was great, and their lamb shank was good as well.

While visiting Santa Fe, we decided to try the Compound restaurant. The restaurant is tucked away in a residential neighborhood. Inviting ambience. To start, we ordered the butter squash risotto. This was excellent. For our entree, we decided to try the Dove Sole and beef tenderloin. The sole/fish was well cooked and season, not dry. Beef was moist and tender. But I think the real highlight was definitely our appetizer- butter squash risotto!

Bon appetite!

Great atmosphere, service, and good food. It was a little strange the lobster in the bisque had been marinated / tasted like vinegar. Everything else was great.

I have had good experiences at the Compound but not this evening. The service was horrible. The waiter was one of worst in my long life—he just didn’t care; not present; and oblivious. What should have been a great experience was ruined by the wait staff.

The food is delicious. I enjoy coming here whenever I am in town. Lots of interesting people. Nice staff. Great service. I will tell you to make sure you do Not count on the accuracy of their website menus. I picked out what I wanted to eat and choose to go,
this time, based on what I wanted to eat. I was excited about it. Ended up being their spring menu and nothing I wanted was available. I, of course, found some delicious options. But in my opinion the dinner menu has way too heavy food for the heat.

I will always come back. I urge you to try it. Just note my comments. Recommendations: onion rings, chile burger, and a very nice
gentleman let me try his chicken schnitzel; It was sooooo amazing! I would come back for that and onion rings. Top it off with a spicy margarita.
