Tonic is the best place for a cocktail in Santa Fe. The cocktails are an adventure, and all delicious to boot. Piper and Winston served us, including teaching us how to use a torron. They were as charming as the cocktails, knowledgeable about the drinks, and a pleasure to visit with.

First off, the bad part: These isn’t much, barely any food options. They have a food menu - four nibbles - which includes pickled eggs and sardines. Ignore the old pics here of the menu that show hambergers, etc. There are no meals to be had. The best is cheese and olives, which does look good. That is it. So, arrange for another place to eat would be my suggestion.
Now, the negative out of the way - the drinks are *amazing*!! I was so happy to have some amazing drinks personally made for me by the bartender - I can’t drink alcohol anymore, but miss scotch. I told the very kind waitress, they passed along the message to the barkeep and *voila* I got an amazing non-alcoholic cocktail that tasted like scotch that I got another of.
This in combination with the atmosphere makes this a must come visit. It is what a bar should be - a place that makes you forget about your phone and enjoy your drinks and the art of conversation. I wish I could have stayed longer, but I was with a squirrelly sister, so I had to leave. However, I will certainly be coming back.
Kind, charming staff, talented bartenders, amazing atmosphere… yep this is a place that I want to help keep open. Come on by if you can!

The bartender said I could not sit at at the bar because it was reserved for industry people and people they know..it was totally empty. I came back later and the bartender said bar seating was for industry people, or people that had made a “good impression “ in the past..don’t waste your time. The bartenders and the staff in this place suck

We’ve stopped in at Tonic each night of our four-night stay in Santa Fe, and I’ll miss it when we leave. After having received outstanding service from the bar owner and his staff, who not only are extremely knowledgeable and talented mixologists but also came to welcome us as regulars, we made a point to come back each night. Ignore the 1-star haters: don’t miss this Plaza gem.

As far as I’m concerned, this is the best bar in the country. I’ve only ever been two other bars outside of the country, so to me I could technically consider it the best bar on the planet.
Everybody working there is always amazing. The prices are extremely reasonable, I’ve spent double the price at fancy bars in manhattan and been given drinks 1/10th of that at Tonic. Always extremely creative and exciting. Every time I’m Santa Fe if I have a chance to go I do, several times.

First timer as my wife and i celebrated our anniversary. Each had a cocktail and enjoyed the cool vibes of the place. Saw a unique drink made for the table next to us and asked our bartender the story behind it. Turns out our bartender was in fact the owner and gave us the great history of the martini in a New Mexico wine carafe. Would definitely recommend for great drinks Ava cool atmosphere.
