Will is one of the best bartenders I have come across here in Santa Fe. He was welcoming, and knowledgeable. Tonic is very lucky to have him! My first impression of Tonic was not good, but Will was able to completely change my mind about the establishment.

If you’re not a local drinker be prepared to feel unwelcome. I get it. There’s a nostalgia for that sort of thing when it feels old and varnished or divy with some sort of street cred but this isn’t it. Even the locals have bad things to say about this place. It’s stocked with a brostaff disguised as hipsters who would rather show you to the door than give you a drink. Skip it unless it’s your only option.

Very slow service and very overpriced for the size of the pours. Went in on a night when there were only 6 people in the bar. The bartender was too concerned about talking to the one person sitting at the bar than making drinks. Took almost 20 minutes just to get my drink.

Came in with a group of 5 on Saturday and the hostess told us they only seat tables for 2 or 4 and started turning away (?)I asked to put our name down for when a larger table opens, to which she tells us “we don’t take reservations.”

Such a wonderful find! Went in December, but fantastic enough to write a review in February! The thoughtfully crafted cocktails were beyond amazing. The skill of the bartenders and kitchen was brilliant. Noting that other chefs were also enjoying the drinks and atmosphere there spoke volumes. Definitely will return next time we are in Santa fe.Dietary restrictions: Very helpful and knowledgeable about the menu and ingredients.

This place is too expensive. Drinks are like $17, $18, non alcoholic drinks are a whopping $12!!!!! Additionally, poutine is.....market price? This just doesn't make sense. We tried to sit at the bar but were told it was reserved yet it sat empty the entire time we were there. Their website also says they are "a first come first serve establishment" but clearly it's just a bunch of pretentious pricks. We won't be going back and you shouldn't either.

First of all, the bartender here was extremely rude for seemingly no reason. He wouldn't let me sit at the bar, and said it was "reserved seating tonight", but then the next person that came in was allowed to sit there, even though they weren't part of some group or anything. The bar remained slow, and no one else came in to sit at the bar. It was really weird and discriminatory. Second, I ordered a "Cactus Coke". It had way too much syrup and lime, and basically tasted like a Ginger Beer. It managed to be cloyingly sweet and puckering sour all at once. No subtlety of flavor or taste of spirit. And no, I'm not just saying that because the bartender was rude. It was just a poorly made drink.
