When you ask for the Tapas plate and are told by the bartender that he’s far too busy to serve you the small plate of cheese and meat cubes, yet turns around and makes one for himself to enjoy. Absolute garbage service, expected more from a busy tourist town pub.
Great atmosphere Drinks served in unique pottery containers. Try one of the alcohol or beer flights while you work clay. Clay costs $15. Tools provided. Tapas plate was good.

Add an incredible experience here on the first date. However, an employee ran be down in accusery of not paying after right in front of her. We were given wristbands. She told me that this was not the correct trip span. And I got back everybody else was getting the very same one. It's not sure what happened there

This place was awesome to stop in for a drink. I got a margarita and personally a bit too much salt on the rim for me but the drink was good. The interior of this place is adorable. So much pottery. I wanted to buy a plant pot but maybe I will on my next visit down there. The restroom is up on the third floor.

Do you like letting your inner Bernard Leach shine? Do you also like beautifully crafted cocktails with local spirits? If so, Tumbleroot is your place. A perfect way to spend an afternoon in Santa Fe.

Get the cocktail sampler! A little but of a Paloma, mojito, and G&T. My friend who is really into pretty absolutely adored this place and it was so fun to watch!
It’s not too pricey to do both a drink and a glob of clay. It’s also possible to split clay between two people if you want to make smaller figurines!

Walking around in Santa Fe we saw their sign and looked up their website. The idea of drinking out of homemade mugs as well as look at items for sale is great. The wife's saw the clay and tried their hand making bowls. They absolutely enjoyed themselves. A great concept.

We came in to sample the drinks, and they did not fail, the mojito was amazing but the real winner was the Paloma it is definitely worth trying, the Moscow mule was good but not up my alley. On the non alcoholic side, the rosemary pomegranate soda is great for anyone not wanting to drink or if we wish the pub is also good for something simple like a jack n' coke. The pub has lots of pottery works like bowls, brewers, cups, and a lot of other handmade kitchenware that is beautiful. In the center of the room is the clay table with all of the tools you need to make anything you want.
Parking: There is a paid parking lot not too far that offers $20 day parking but I would try to park at the historic building across the street, which has meters but only 6-8 spots.

Visited Tumbleroot Pottery today and when my sister and I walked in, it was HOT! No AC. Ok, I was willing to bypass this issue. Went to ask for clay and they give you a ball of clay for $15 with no instruction, no apron, very bad pottery tools and lots of bottles of dry paint under the table. Plus they had the audacity to ask you to clean up after yourself. I ran an art studio and this was overpriced and not very well run. And, we ordered two drinks. The drinks had one big ball of ice and maybe two sips of margarita for a total of $38. WOW! I was fooled into this tourist trap. Never again; you've been warned from a fellow art lover.

Stopped in on a whim while visiting Santa Fe with kids. If you love pottery and artisanal, craft cocktails this is a neat place! Our kids even enjoyed mocktails in ceramic goblets and the bartender was super sweet about the whole thing. Cocktails weren't very strong but well balanced, creative and very tasty.

I have been visiting Santa Fe for years and I am SO happy to have stumbled on this place. I have traveled far and wide and this place is truly a favorite of mine. Being in such a creative and artsy town this place allows you to join in on it, and brings out a creative side with drinks and clay. We had the best time here after going to the O'Keeffe Museum which is down the street (so location is A1). The price is fair and reasonable and the experience was impromptu which I've found are some of the best types of experiences. Thank you to the wonderful talented staff who made the best drinks and to the couple who started this because you defiantly combined two amazing things perfectly. <3
We are most defiantly coming back. Literally change nothing because this place is absolutely perfect.
