After reading the review, Everyone said they had amazing tamales and other vegan option. I was ordering to go and once I said vegan, the server started listening all the vegan options. We ended up getting the tamales since everyone said they were so good. We got them with the green chili sauce. OMG!!!! These are the best tamales I have ever had. The order came with two tamales covered in sauce, a side of pinto beans and hominy corn in a red sauce. If I wasn’t driving another...
The Silver Moon was a welcomed respite on a cold night headed to Dalhart. The small restaurant was warm and inviting. The waitress was friendly and the food was great! We had Mexican food that tasted authentic and was served with that hot, spicy New Mexico Chilli sauce. Silver Moon is right off I-40, exit 277 so very convenient. Will visit again on the way home!
Silver Moon Cafe is an oasis in the desert!! My review is for Silver Moon is based on other Route 66 restaurants, cafes and diners. It's definitely 5 star worthy in that category! It's been updated and remodeled to a comfortable, bright and fresh cafe that offers both Mexican and American favorites. Our service was friendly and efficient in a very crowded restaurant. We ordered the pick your own combo and it was perfect portions, came out quickly and was absolutely delicious....
