This is a great local spot. The green chili lager is a must have and if it hasn't got a medal it should. It's fresh, clean, and very nice. The Cap club sandwich was thin, but it was tasty.

My go-to place at night in Socorro. An always cool crowd and friendly staff set in an old, beautiful bar. The outside patio is a charmer in warm weather.
UPDATE: Oct.26.2024:
Stopped in again for a World Series watch. Foodwise, I had a delicious Socorro Dog. A bit spicy-hot, however so tasty and huge that it filled me up and went perfectly with some brew. Great soundtrack, cool wait staff, wonderful ambiance.

Grace and Angel have been amazing in providing the expertise, customer service and really rolling out the red carpet for myself and my friend not just once but twice.

What a cool spot! We were visiting from Albuquerque for the day and just happened into this bar/brewery. I had a really good IPA. We loved the history in this place. Played pool and the jukebox for a couple hours. Twas a great time.

We are back in town and once again visiting The Cap! Always a fun time with good beer and great service, thanks to Hazel! Even though things got very busy she managed things professionally and efficiently. She was so smooth she almost made things look easy. This place was a big part of our past and we are glad it is now part of our present. We hope the Cap continues to be a big part of Socorro as it has always been.

Great find on this desolate stretch of highway. Good crowd, dog friendly patio and great food as well. Get off the highway and get on this patio!

Good beer, good service, good decor - do note that their kitchen closes 1:30 before the bar does.

Long Gone

Open late, a great patio, and reasonable prices.
