I pulled a u-turn tonight for a food truck that said BBQ. I'm glad I did! It smelled good enough when I got home that my cat caught a whiff and followed me straight inside.Very friendly staff helped me right away, and I ended up with a generous portion of pretty good brisket and a red sauce that seems to be their own concoction. Sunland Park BBQ's food truck was onsite at our elementary school's fall festival on a Friday night and we decided to give it a try. I had a two meat plate with brisket, carnitas, charro beans, and coleslaw. Our son had a quesadilla with carnitas. Everything was excellent. I really like their bbq sauce as well. Brisket is moist and delicious, the Rio grande nachos are loaded with queso and everything but the kitchen sink! Sliders are the perfect size for a light lunch. Mango tea was refreshing. Bread pudding made with conchas, a scrumptious dessert.
