Aji is by far, my favorite restaurant in Taos. The Pato is one of the best meals I've ever had, and I get it almost every time I dine here. My only suggestion would be to change the music - it's always the same playlist of bad cover songs, it would be great to hear something that reflects the Peruvian culture, or even just light acoustic instruments. Other than that, don't change anything!

Not only does Aji employee some of the most wonderful & kind individuals, they provide some of the most delicious Peruvian food in the state all within a very cozy and calm environment! I am personally addicted to their Pato, roast duck over a sweet potato mash with fried yucca, the most flavorful and tender duck I’ve ever had! While you’re visiting I’d definitely put this spot on your list!

Such a gem! I can't believe Aji has been open for 7 years and this was my first time there. The interior is lovely, atmosphere cozy - with a main dining area, and various side nooks, bar area, etc. The service was great, and the food and beverages were delicious. The menu offers so much to choose from - including options for folks with dietary restrictions. Will be back soon.

I had a Street Ceviche as a starter. It was fine but too bland-ified for American tastes. If you are used to ceviche with kick, ask for some chopped chili.
The paella main course was excellent, and unlike most restaurants that serve paella, Aji’s was ready in a normal time frame.
The proprietress is in fact from Peru, and ably and amiably performs multiple duty as receptionist, server, and buser.

We absolutely adored this place! We stopped in about an hour before closing time to have a drink, get an app and a few more to go. We were sat in a room all to ourselves, the chairs were so comfy, and they brought in a little table light - ambiance was top notch. Beef hearts were incredible, as well as the other apps we tried.

Delicious! Very flavorful and interesting combination of flavors. Food came out piping HOT which can be a rarity at some restaurants. Owners are very personable. Checked on us several times. Will definitely come back! 😊

Really enjoyed our meal last night. On a sisters trip to Taos- chicken spread app was yummy, Filet was 5 star- hit the spot for sure…. Oh and the mashed (puréed) potatoes was very special. Might just revisit before we leave town!

Visiting Taos for a weekend getaway with family. Went here to celebrate my son’s birthday. We loved the food… enjoyed it thoroughly!
The tuna ceviche was really good! For main course we went with the Trout, Chaufa de Camerones (shrimp), Paella and Salmon. The salmon was just OKK. But everything else was delicious and yummy! The winner definitely was the Paella!
We ended with the Flan which was super soft and yummy!
For the drinks… definitely have their Passion Fruit drink.

Reservations were made and honored perfectly.
The drinks were great. The sours are the go to.
The food was great. Came out right and timely. Delicious and as ordered
The service was good. Our poor waitress was running all over creation doing everything. She could have used help and therefore is a little slow. But still good and totally worth the visit.
We will be back!
