“Suchness was so great! We were greeted warmly when we walked in and offered the option to sit outside or inside. We sat outside in the enclosed area. Our server was warm and funny and kind enough to advise us that the two appetizers we picked to start with were going to be a lot of food. We decided just to have one, the mushrooms and ramps on toasted bread. It was absolutely delicious. Then we had the vegan rigatoni bolognese. I'm not vegan, but this was so good I would gladly have it instead of regular bolognese any day. We also had the lamb with moroccan tomato jam and smoked eggplant. I loved how the chef added shredded mint leaves to the chickpea puree under the lamb. An altogether great meal. If we go back to Taos, I'd be very torn about trying new places or returning to Suchness because it was that good!”

“We happened in on this cozy and comfortable wine bar on Thursday, their open mic night. The music was nice and at the right volume. The owners are wonderfully hospitable, helpful with wine selection and serve up great charcuterie boards in addition to a whole host of other food offerings. They also serve beer in a cold pint glass! We will be back. 😊”

“The place was OK. We didn’t realize the place was just a food truck when we looked it up, or that the only area to sit is behind a vacant building next to a gas station. My husband likes his Philly Cheese Steak taco, and my chicken tacos were fine. However, with my order, the portions really amounted to more of a snack than a meal, at a meal price. I think it was 3-4 mini tacos. I left hungry and unimpressed.”

“This is the best chicharron burrito I've ever eaten. Do yourself a favor and go here next time you want a burrito. Don't waste your time going to one of the other places in town that are being run by rude teenagers that mess up your order. This place offers service with a smile by wonderful women.”

“We stopped in for ice cream but ended up getting chocolate and raw cacao as well. The shop is quaint and appealing. We got 6 truffles that were all very good. The unique flavor combinations reminded us of a shop we visited in Bruges called The Chocolate Line. The shop host was fun to talk to about chocolate and told us a lot about the owner and her process which made us feel connected and confident supporting this small business. My son wanted to buy the raw cacao beans and she was nice enough to let him try one before he committed to the whole bag (which he did end up buying, after all!). The ice cream was soft almost like gelato and really good!”

“Customer service from the woman working last night and the gentleman working this morning was amazing! We were encouraged to come for breakfast and i’m so glad we did! I am an avid avocado toast consumer LOL and this was top 3 toast i’ve ever had, the strawberry pastry was also so delicious. There is indoor and outdoor seating with a view of the mountains and dogs were welcomed to go in while ordering! The employee also saved me a pack of nuts I asked for, if they are there I recommend buying them they are SOOO good.”

“Sweet Spot Find: It's been over 5+ years since we were last in Taos and one of the highlights back then was the Taos Cow (Arroyo Secco location, more character). We were happy to find that Taos Cow was alive and well with 2 locations now. This is a good place to stop and refuel after a visit to the Taos Pueblo and before walking around the plaza. I ordered the Chocolate Rio Grande ice cream which was enjoyable, and I could taste the pinon nuts, however, I was expecting the ice cream to be more creamy. My friends ordered the green chile chicken stew and avocado toast, both of which were very tasty and recommended options if one needs just a snack before the next meal. The green chile stew had a good amount of chicken and the flavors were satisfying. The avocado toast was generous and topped with pink pickled red onions and microgreens, a nice touch. The service was nothing special, and not overly friendly. Other patrons were ordering burritos, so probably worth trying those. The vibe is definitely Taos casual with covered patio seating and outdoor seating on picnic benches and metal chairs, and plasticware. I can see how this would be a great place to hang out during warmer weather. Check it out if you're in the area.”

“Strange. Many interesting offerings but I live near Hispanic stores in NYC and should be able to get all there. Store was so large compared to contents made me wonder why. Cheap rent, wacky rules, mismanagement, competition, something else?”

“Was fairly expensive, but everything we had was good. It was very well plated. We arrived in Taos on a Sunday night and didn't realize the majority of the restaurants were closed. We were grateful this was open and we were able to get in right away.
They gave an amuse bouche before dinner that was beautiful and had good flavor, but seemed like it had been prepared much earlier.
Their drink menu is great.”

“So disappointed that this restaurant has never reopened for dining in. We live an hour and a half away and used to eat here often. It's too far away to get take out. If I pay for a meal, I prefer to be waited on. Haven't eaten here in 2 years for those reasons.”

“If you love Mexican food (not New Mexican, big difference) than this is definitely the place for you. A very authentic experience with sizable portions and great rice and beans. I highly recommend the Chile Verde. We went here based on a recommendation from a friend and we're so happy we discovered this place! If you're a fan of Mexican, you can't go wrong with this place. And there are two locations - one just as you enter into Taos along the highway and the other on the north end of town on the same highway. Great food 👍🔥💯”

“The food and drinks were AMAZING!! We went here for our 30th anniversary. I had the Bison Tender Loin which was flavored and cooked to perfection and the carrot puree and broccolini were perfect compliments. The wife had King Salmon and it too was seasoned and cooked to perfection. We started with the Jumbo lump crab cake and was leery about the pimento cheese but after trying it it too as excellent! Wish I knew the Maitre D name but he was very accommodating and helpful. P.S. Make reservations for the dining room even on a Monday!!! The ambiance was phenomenal dining with the apple trees made for a perfect anniversary dinner. If ever in Taos this is a must on your bucket list and I know we will be back.”
