“I've been a customer for 10 years. There is really nothing like getting a double espresso and a biscotti "for here" on the backside. Sadly, unlikely to get a quality coffee on the backside this year.”
“As a professional wedding DJ for the last 25 years (PartyTime DJ), The Phoenix Grill at Taos Ski Valley is one of the best and most memorable venues I have ever worked at. Beautiful outdoor ceremony space and awesome staff!”
“Three of us had an absolutely fabulous dinner at the BBTavern Friday evening. The tavern was very cozy and the staff attentive to every detail. I recommend the salmon, but my son had a most amazing filet mignon... and the calamari was some of the best I've ever had.Based on the dinner experience, I tried a Goldilox Bagel at the Cafe the next morning and was blown away. Apparently the bagels are homemade and are really amazing! I guess I will be back every morning I'm here trying a different bagel combination... Oh, and try the cappuccino - perfection!”
“Clean, friendly people, awesome staff, amazing burgers and chicken sandwiches, great drink selection. You can get anything from a beer to a shot of tequila! This place was so good (and the other restaurants had spotty reviews) that we came here for lunch during both of our days!!Got a burger, fries, and a beer for $25 or so. Awesome price for being on a ski resort and for being as good as it was.Highly recommend.”
“When I’m in Taos Ski Valley, I hit all the restaurants, But Hondos is my favorite. The rueben, mussels, green chili stew. They’ve got a hard working staff, friendly.”
“The Vegan Tortilla soup was delicious, but I got less than my husband did of a meaty stew, for $1 less. Neither soup was very hot, either. Service was good, but it took 15 minutes to get our soup.”
“This hotel restaurant is attempting to find its identity and is a hot & cold with its overall performance. We ate there two times during our last trip to Taos Ski Valley. The first time, we had a good experience with good service and food. The rosemary fries and margarita pizza are good. The second time, we were treated like an annoyance because we asked for the kids pasta that is on the menu. I guess the chef did not want to make pasta that day for kiddos. It is one of the nicer and certainly the most expensive restaurant on the mountain.”
“Amazing food and food presentation, we love Aceq! The Brussels sprouts are my favorite and I am so glad they will be continuing in the new May menu! Keep up the great work. See you again soon!”
“This quickly became the go to breakfast spot for my wife and I while in Red River. Best coffee, breakfast, and customer service around. Levi and his team are some of the nicest and most welcoming people you’ll meet in Red River.”
“It just about a 10 min away from the Main Street and well worth the drive. No wait, great food, no crowds. The food was cooked fresh and it all tasted wonderful! Would definitely go back next time I’m in town!”
“Great tasting food and wonderful friendly service, especially Mark and Julie. The Meat Lovers pizza is so scrumptious!!!!! It's well worth the drive from Red River to this place in Questa. Carrol & Nelda Robb TEXAS”
“Hits on all the right spots. Location, Atmosphere, Love of Product, Knowledge of Product, Local flair, Friendly, Swag, Price. Great Cortado and Platinum Chair was a hit as well. Go early and get one of the homemade Ham & Cheese Kolaches you will not regret it. The owner and staff are friendly and take pride in what they do. Keep up the good work, Look forward to out next time together.”
“Food was good and I'm so glad we made reservations a month in advance! Service could have been better.. there were two larger parties near us and we just felt overlooked.”
“Cute little home cooking spot. Husband loved his biscuits with gravy and sausage. My French toast was good, could have used a longer soak in the batter. My bacon tasted kind of old.Would go back and would recommend for breakfast.”
“We went here for a good cup of coffee on our camping trip/vacation, and we got that, plus, amazing conversation. I can't remember names but..The Judge..was so helpful. While there we got to witness Sen. Carlos Cisneros' memorial. This I will never forget. Amazing place, amazing coffee and amazing people. Thank you for our memories of our vacation in New Mexico.❤ Oh and if you remember us Judge...sure sorry I never made it back to hear you play.”
“Coming in, the space is open, airy, and welcoming. I went to breakfast with friends on Easter Sunday and was greeted immediately then seated. The food came quickly and it was a lot. I got the omelet with potatoes and whole wheat bread. A friend got eggs with a pancake (the size of a dinner plate) and fruit, my other friend got a burrito which would have been enough for breakfast and lunch. The staff during the meal were attentive without being overbearing and were offering coffee refills. Pricing was in line with Taos. I will return to this amazing local restaurant.Parking: Lots of parking spaces, handicap parking just steps from the entranceWheelchair accessibility: The entrance we used had 2 shallow steps, one of the members in the party used a walker, she navigated these steps fine. I didn't see a ramp but was not looking either.”
“Oh man, this is the place!! You can’t beat their breakfast menu. Try the Huevos Rancheros, with the best Green Chile!!! We travel from Texas just to eat this!! Great job Yesterday’s Diner! I’m not sure why you would go across the street to eat out of paper plates, and mediocre food. Head on over to Yesterday’s Diner!!!”
“The food was good, they just have a limited food and drink menu. The cashier that rang us up wasn’t really friendly, she acted so annoyed about the questions I was asking.”
“Only place in Taos area that I have found for authentic New Mexican food. Every other place in town that I have tried for New Mexican food just disappoints. Love Abe’s!”
“The bacon, green chili, cheese beer bread was absolutely melt in your mouth. The molasses brown was great by itself or with just a touch of cinnamon honey. It was worth the wait to get up here, I'll be trying the other flavors before summer is over.”
“Taos cakes helped us last minute and the cake was beautiful and super yummy. I would definitely recommend and if I’m ever in the area again and need a cake she will be my call l!”
“Attended a Jazz Show on 2/18/2024. The venue was great and The Music Soared. Food/drink's we're good and service Attentive. All was a Sunday Delight. Ohh, did I skip the Views Of Taos MTN! They are knee worthy.”
“Charming pizza joint in El Prado - super close to Taos.Stopped by and enjoyed a fresh & delicious Caesar salad, and a very generously sized small Firecracker pizza (pepperoni, Canadian bacon, green chilies, and jalapeno). Excellent midnight snack later!”
“A real gem in the Taos/Red River area—I can’t imagine ever going to the mountains of northern New Mexico without an evening of food and entertainment at Bobcat Pass Wilderness Adventures’ Moreno Valley Cowboy Evenings! This was our 2nd visit in 6 years. In 2017, we had so much fun, I vowed we would have to come back again. We finally made it back in the summer of 2023, and we were not disappointed at all! It’s really great fun!The Cowboy Dinner is excellent, made outdoors right in front of you. It’s a hearty meal with your choice of grilled ribeye steak, cooked to order, or chicken, baked potato, cowboy beans, delicious honey-glazed dutch-oven biscuits, & corn-on-the cob. They have lots of cold drinks available, but I couldn’t wait to get my paws wrapped around a big tin cup of their delicious cowboy “campfire” coffee! And they top it all off with “to-die-for” ho’made cinnamon rolls—SOooo Good!!Throughout dinner time, you’ll be entertained by one of New Mexico’s favorite cowboy sons, Syd Masters, and his band of western mountain musicians. Syd is a real champion for New Mexico, it’s western heritage and the “Cowboy Way of Life”! He’s a very talented singer, songwriter and musician. You’ll hear many of his original songs, along with your favorite cowboy ballads. He’s very funny and engages the whole crowd!Be sure to come early to visit the Lewis Mercantile shop (and watch swarms of hummingbirds outside), try your hand with a lariat, or play a game of horseshoes.“This is Western Hospitality at its Finest!”Kid-friendliness: Great Fun for young and old alike!”
“Had a good time here. Nice bartender, Debbie.Enjoyed some live music, talked with some very nice locals. It was a great vibe! I'd visit again when next in town for a stay!”
“We went on a Sunday. They weren't serving food & that's ok. My daughter just wanted a milkshake. And she was not disappointed. It was good. She drank it all & wanted to return the next day for more. ?”
“We had the working man and the pesto pizza and both were delicious. Ingredients tasted fresh and the crust was really good. We really liked the pizza, but the customer service was even better. Laura was the sweetest person ever and took great care of us the entire time. We loved it.”
“Been coming here for two years in a row now and their breakfast burritos don't miss 11/10. I always pick one up on the way to the mountain and eat it after parking and suiting up!Parking: Lots of space -- easier to back in to help with pulling out while cars are coming around the blind turn.Kid-friendliness: Nice seating in the back, behind the store along the creek.”
“Der Garten deserves a minimum of Michelin Bib Gourmand. The innovation that Chef Asia uses in seemingly traditional cultural dishes or a simple burrata salad is second to few starred restaurants I've been to. We went two nights in a row and got to sample most of the carefully crafted menu and specials. Fittingly, the menu offerings primarily belong to Europe and Bavaria, but also included things like a masterful Dahl showing prowess in all types of cooking. The ambiance is also incredibly unique, the restaurant being in a converted residential house. Our second meal there we ate on suede armchairs and coffee table in front of a huge, roaring fireplace. And thats what it feels like, eating at home. But what I loved most about the place was Chef Asia personally bringing all of her food out to us, describing the details of each dish. As an aspiring chef myself, she even sat down with us and we talked about the technique and theory behind all of her dishes - super meaningful and a memory I’ll never forget. She is truly talented and proud of what she brings to every table - and should be!This is the best restaurant in northern New Mexico, and you'd have to work to find a place this good in Santa Fe or ABQ.They also serve draft German beer by the liter… a reason to go by itself!”
