I'll get one thing out of the way, there was a hiccup with our party's reservation but it was taken care of. We sat outside which was so lovely in the late afternoon. The food was delicious, I had gotten the Currey which I can't get anywhere else, I would recommend it if you don't mind the spice. The rest of the group seemed to enjoy their food and I know we all left there full, happy and taken care of by the amazing waiter who was entertaining and funny.

If you want something new, fun, interesting, and weird, this is the place to be. Strange twists on common favorites, and the choices don't always work! If you are looking for the flavors that you know this is not the place for you. But if you're like me and enjoy trying something new, this will be a fun place even if you end up ordering a dish you don't like. However, I would caution anyone against ordering the pad thai! It was strangely sour. The side salad however is delicious.

Love this place! The food is fantastic and the staff is stellar. My family loves the build your bowl. Everyone gets what they want and because it is yummy, everyone is happy.

Excellent restaurant in all respects including great Asian (Japanese) dishes, sake, service, seating -- all of it! Moderate cost, superb quality. Nicely arranged group of small to medium rooms with pleasantly-spaced tables. Outstanding place!

Sambal fries and tofu have honey. Make sure you ask for the bahn mi without butter or mayo. Watch for those hidden animal products!! They're everywhere! Veggie pad Thai has fish sauce!

Really impressed with the cuisine here. Everything was fresh and flavorful and generous portions with a healthy spice. It’s lined with art for sale with a number of impressive local pieces. It is pretty pricy; we average $35 per head, and that’s without drinking much and half of the party being kids. Worth it for a “nice” meal, but a little high if you’re looking for something casual.

We had the dumpling trio. It was total of 7 dumplings with 3 different textures and flavor profiles and all extremely delicious. My favorite of the 3 was the red bean mochi , which was sweet and sticky. The lamb and fig bun was a close second with its light and fluffy texture. We also tried the pad Thai, gyoza dumplings, beef bulgogi dumplings and mak kimchi. The kimchi was fresh made, not your usual multi-day fermented kind, which made it less potent and more milder in flavor, but still very tasty. I had it as a side to the bulgogi dumplings, which was a great pairing due to the fact that the dumplings, which resembled more of a samosa in style and texture were very beefy and rich with nothing else to brighten the flavor other than few slices of avocado and scallion garnish. To see their drink menu you have to go online and navigate to that category under menu. Here you will discover a large selection of very enticing drinks to surely please anyone. The atmosphere and decor were very relaxing. We visited on a Saturday night and there was live music , a guitar soloist, playing relaxing tunes to the patrons. The staff was very friendly. However, it did take about an hour for our 4 dishes to arrive. So be aware that your start to finish time here can range from hour and a half to two hours easily. So keep that in mind when planning your visit here. Over all this whole experience still made the highlight of our 4 day stay in Taos.

We had a table of 8 a few weeks ago. The bar manager came out and very smoothly got us to order cocktails. Little did we know that many of the cocktails we ordered were $30!!! They weren’t even listed on the menu. We were very upset to find this out at the end.Otherwise, the food took 2 hours to get to us and our “seared tuna” was very well done. Pho was pretty bland.Overall not at all worth the price. The extra star is because our waitress was awesome and handled all of these issues as best as she could.

So, not a great experience. We were seated next to a speaker and the music was way too loud, and every few minutes an ad would start blaring. Is it really that expensive to pay for a premium subscription of Pandora or Spotify etc? Even the table next to us were commenting on how jarring it was, definitely ruined the atmosphere. As for the food the shrimp spring rolls, sambal fries, and sauces were fantastic, but the beef bulgogi dumplings and pork skewers were just sad. The Bulgogi dumplings were unseasoned, tough, and 100% not a dumpling. It was bland ground beef deep fried in a wonton wrapper. The portions are very small, all of the entrees are appetizer sized so you leave feeling hungry and cheated. We paid $95 there and were still hungry.

A welcome alternative after many southwestern meals. We ordered take-out and service was prompt. Pad tai was a bit dry but my ‘build a bowl’ was nicely seasoned and noodles cooked to a delicate tenderness. I suggest dining in as the setting is quite unusual. Fine art displayed, tables spread out, the bar scene lively and separate from the dining space. Priced a bit high for what is offered (take-out) but worth it for the fresh made to order meal.

The Pho is tasteless.. prices are way out of proportion for quality..The hipster looking bartender is full of it. We asked for a drink menu, and he came out to see what our “palettes” were thirsty for.. he “custom” made us some cocktails and charged us $24 and $29 for our them.. guess you can expect to get swindled in a tourist trap

We had no idea what to expect when we walked by the restaurant. A nice couple sitting by the outside fire pit raved about the food. We enjoyed every thing. Shout out to the sesame peanut rice noodles and the gyoza dumplings. They also mix a great cocktail. Staff was warm, friendly, and made you feel like you were a valued guest.

Great dinner at Donabe last night! Enjoyed the spring rolls, vegetarian and shrimp, with sauce. Fresh, flavorful, yummy. Pad Thai with jumbo shrimp was delicious! Gorgeous space with lots of art, cool live music. Cozy on a chilly night! Reservations recommended. Definitely going back soon.

Tried to get a quick - 1 hr dinner in before a movie but had 3 different servers in the span of ten minutes. Our meal had to be packed to go and while some of it tasted ok later, this place doesn’t do fusion well. Having lived in Asia and Los Angeles, it just didn’t live up to expectations.

Stopped in for a midday snack. Their make your own soup bowl was just the ticket for a cold afternoon. The Thai wings were super with the peanut sauce. Want to return for a bigger meal next time.
