Great little place. Would eat here again. I got the 6 pack of tacos ? they're hard BTW. I expected they would be soft. Either way they were really good. My stepson had fajitas. They were fantastic. Had enough to eat for dinner too.

Mantes is an institution in Taos. Portions are not what they used to be, but they do some great hand held burritos. Would definitely recommend for families dining with children as they have other options on the menu as well. The Trujillo burrito is legendary.

1st time in, my wife and her coworkers eat here. My burrito was really good. The only reason for 4 stars and not 5 is because I wish they had a non pork option for the breakfast burrito.

Very, very happy with just about everything at Mante's. We were visiting Toas for the first time and had this place recommend to us for breakfast. That recommendation ended up being a solid winner, so much so that we ended up going back a second time (not normal during our road trips).
The portions are extremely large. Word ot caution, be careful ordering the Mikey for a young kid since the pancake is the size of a large dinner plate and about 2 to 3x thicker than a normal pancake. The staff were all very nice and willing to accommodate all of our silly questions. Everything had a great flavor and this was the first place, out of many tried, that actually had a spicy/hot green sauce which is a big winner for me. Plus, the prices were extremely reasonable for the larger than expected portions.
Would recommend this place to everyone. They also have a nice drive-thru window, even though it is a sit-down restaurant.

Meh. Stopped here as it was one of the last restaurants on the road to Santa Fe. Perhaps we should have tried New Mexican fare, but we were wanting something different. The burgers were average and seemingly a bit over-priced for the quality, but the fries were crispy. Service was average (make sure your ketchup bottles actually have ketchup in them), and the atmosphere was great--its a really cute place.

I've been here twice and had the fajitas both times. When asked if I wanted steak or chicken, I asked if I could get both, or a 'combo'. To my surprise, they couldn't do that. It made me wonder if they could honor another simple request; 1/2 sweet & 1/2 unsweet tea. The steak fajitas were great. I'll go back for them. But little things matter, especially things other restaurants have been doing for 30+ years.

Burritos were edible but nothing special and not worth the money. $17 for two burritos that tasted like what I could make at home.

I love ordering the Trujillo Burrito, the flavor is really good. Since moving back, Iv noticed the burrito is really small for $10 dollars. I leave hungry everytime I get it and I'm not a big person. When I get the burrito, it's not even a burrito. It's more of a small quesadilla cheese roll like they have at taco bell for $1. I have to go to other restaurants more often because I get a much larger burrito for $10 dollars. You guys should drive around New Mexico and please make your $10 dollar burrito the same size or larger as other $10 dollar places. You would make more money making sure people leave happy. I'm tired of leaving your restaurant hungry from such a small cheese roll. You also get wholesale food supplies, so making the burrito larger wouldn't cost you that much more. I would love to get your burrito daily like I do at other restaurants. I am forced to get it once every 3 weeks because it is so small and I leave hungry and mad each time. I'm sure I'm not the only one that feels this way either.

The pop machine was out of fizzy stuff and they didn't bother to tell us. So we ended up paying for water. The food was great! Very busy place.
