The food was so great. It was all Mexicans who were cooking in the kitchen and a family owned place they've had for years. Everyone swrvinh were so friendly as well. It's a small restaurant but it's worth going there for their food for sure! We were visiting from Kansas and their food was still different from any Mexican food I've had in KS. A must try place!

La Cueva is my favorite spot in Taos. I discovered them 2 trips ago and had the best chicken chimichangas I ever had. this last time, my husband went with me & ordered the veg chimis and agreed with my assessment of la Cueva. someone on fb recommended la cueva and I'm so glad I listened. service is top notch & the prices can't get any better.

So amazing! We got the mole fajitas and Huitlacoche enchiladas. Margaritas were also delicious! Would definitely recommend.

Family group of 8 people. Got served quickly all the food was good.

Parking: There was road work near by so it was a bit restricted.

5 big starts to everything. The service was so kind, and so quick. The inside of the restaurant is cute, and cozy. Everything tasted fresh and authentic. The portion sizes were absolutely perfect. We left very full but not miserable, and definitely not still hungry. We almost went back the very next day before we left town. Both the green and red chili is so flavorful and bold, the chicken was moist, the shredded beef was so tender and had big flavor. Highly highly recommend.

We had a delicious meal at La Cueva. The tacos--both beef and chicken--were really good. We did both prefer the beef. The rice and beans were the perfect complement. The waiters were very attentive. I recommend this cafe highly!

I had the chimichanga with chicken and verde and it was exceptional. Another person had the mole chicken enchilada and the mole was so good. Bringing home some flan, too full for now, LOL. Little small inside, but worth it, for sure.

Great food. My wife stated the food was like you’ve finally found water in a desert.
