I go to La Terraza for variety. The menu has really good Mexican dishes AND it has Italian dishes. My last visit was to satisfy a craving for Italian.
Starting with the chicken peccata special was an excellent recommendation by Ulisis. Unfortunately, I didn't look at the specials board, so when the linguini and chicken breast was served on a bed of spinach I had to send it back. (I can't eat spinach due to gout, which really kills me because it was my favorite vegetable for decades. And it looked beautiful.) The kitchen promptly took away the spinach and replated the rest of the dish so it looked like it was meant to be served that way.
The pasta was cooked al dented, the chicken was moist and the sauce was delicious, with just a little bite of lemon.
For dessert, I had the flan. I know, I'm mixing cuisines by not getting the cheesecake but I love custard in all its forms. This one was pretty special and I'm glad I got dessert.

SUPER DELICIOUS and I'm going out of my way to say so. We had simple fajitas plate and immediate flavor 💣 super Perfecto would recommend. Restraunt is near Walmart now tho. K bye
Our server was so wonderful and the Tampiquena plate was delicious! Coming back next time we are in Taos!

I LOVED the Chicken Mole, recommended by Ulises.
Food was decent, the atmosphere not so much. Noisy and the air was full of kitchen fumes
Stopped here because they had some interesting dishes on the menu. Had the Chile rellenos & stuffed sopapilla with adobo. This was the taste of New Mexico we were looking for!! It was so good we ordered the whole meal again to go! Don't miss out on this place!!

Do not bother calling. They will hang up on you! Rude people, no customer service. I called about reserving for 20 guests for a family get together. This was for a week out in advance! Would hate to just show up and they didn’t have the people or help to accommodate that many at once. They hang up and I tried calling a couple of times after and went to voicemail. I will not be giving my time or service to this place

Absolutely some of the best New Mexican food we’ve had! Waitstaff were very nice. Food was reasonably priced.

The restaurant was very inviting, including pictures of historical Mexican figures on the walls and artwork depicting New Mexico’s heritage. The service was prompt and friendly and food fresh and delicious. Very glad I stopped in here on my final day in Taos.

We had the best lunch at La Terraza de Taos Cocina! My wife said the shrimp enchiladas were the best enchiladas that she has ever had. My pastor burrito Christmas style was delicious! Our server went out of his way to make sure we had a great dining experience. We look forward to stopping by again when we are in Taos next!

Sat there for 20 min and no body acknowledged that we were there. The kitchen was smoked out like the kitchen staff had no ideas what they were doing… were rude! We just walked out.
