The food here is absolutely amazing, and worth every penny. If you’re trying to find a great place to eat with a chill atmosphere and fantastic service this IS the place!!! Don’t even hesitate to come! Maria’s is some of the freshest and best Mexican food I’ve had in a long time!

Fantastic red chile.The enchiladas use to be the blue corn tortillas back in March 2025 and before ;However now they have switched over to plain corn so am sorely disappointed. What was once excellent is now standard.Not the great find it was last year.Worth a stop as is never busy and always open.

We have been in Taos for 5 days. I tried several places some good some bad. This place the Christmas was so spot on. I love the green chili. It wasn't trying to take my lips off but the flavor was delicious. The red didn't feel like I needed to scrape it off of my tongue. We were so shocked because this place doesn't have a line stand outside. When we come back we will! This is definitely going to be the place that we have dinner nightly!

Great food, with solid vegetarian options (nachos, burritos, tamales, green chili) all super excellent - even the salsa was top notch and amazing. Definitely not fancy, but the food was authentic

I ordered the fajita plate with beef and my wife ordered the Carne asada quesadilla. A large bone was found in my meat after place it in my mouth and my wife found a large piece of gristle in her quesadilla. When asked how the dinner was it was brought to the servers attention.

This has got to be the best food in Town! I asked the chef to make me whatever he would make for himself and he brought me the best tacos I’ve ever had in a restaurant. Flavors, spice, authenticity, everything! He put a char on the corn tortillas that was absolutely amazing. It even came with a diablo sauce that was just right and a side of juice from the pork. WOW!

Working late in Questa, barely made it in before close and Cisco was more than happy to seat me. Food was excellent, had chille relleno enchiladas w/carnitas. Washed it down with a delicious horchata (my photos are terrible, food was better looking!)

On one occasion, I was served by a waitress who was wearing workout shorts and a workout shirt. This made me feel extremely uncomfortable.

My first time eating in Taos and Maria’s didn’t disappoint. Get the Johnny boy breakfast burrito. Wonderful spot thanks again.
