Food was good .. got it to go.. i ordered a Carne asada smothered burrito ( Christmas) with a bottle for soda and chips salsa and guacamole.. a little pricey.. but Good..

Actually stopped at a restaurant next door, not Maria’s. It was La Terraza de Taos Cocina. Google got restaurant name wrong, and I can’t delete it.

We walked in shortly before closing and asked if it was okay to sit and eat. The hostess Nancy, without hesitation made us feel comfortable and welcomed us telling us to sit down and enjoy our meal. Great food and service!

Excellent food and kind service. Go for the green chile chicken tamales.

We stopped here for lunch. Cisco was an excellent waiter, super nice! The horchata here is house made and I'd drink an entire gallon if I could. I would come back just for that. The food is delicious and you can tell it is made fresh, with care. Unfortunately, I did not have enough room for dessert - guess I'll have to come back to try that!

The food and service were excellent, and it tasted just like home cooking. I especially enjoyed the various choices of beans, rice, and calabacitas. I would highly recommend Maria's if you happen to be in Taos.

The food here is absolutely amazing, and worth every penny. If you’re trying to find a great place to eat with a chill atmosphere and fantastic service this IS the place!!! Don’t even hesitate to come! Maria’s is some of the freshest and best Mexican food I’ve had in a long time!

Fantastic red chile.The enchiladas use to be the blue corn tortillas back in March 2025 and before ;However now they have switched over to plain corn so am sorely disappointed. What was once excellent is now standard.Not the great find it was last year.Worth a stop as is never busy and always open.

We have been in Taos for 5 days. I tried several places some good some bad. This place the Christmas was so spot on. I love the green chili. It wasn't trying to take my lips off but the flavor was delicious. The red didn't feel like I needed to scrape it off of my tongue. We were so shocked because this place doesn't have a line stand outside. When we come back we will! This is definitely going to be the place that we have dinner nightly!

Great food, with solid vegetarian options (nachos, burritos, tamales, green chili) all super excellent - even the salsa was top notch and amazing. Definitely not fancy, but the food was authentic
