Hands down, the BEST hashbrowns and cherry turnover I've ever had in my life. I've been tempted to drive to Taos just for these hashbrowns.

The food at Michael's is consistently excellent, with large portions and friendly service. Any wait is worth it, and the bakery items are also outstanding. My personal favorite is the Chile Rellenada, which is enormous yet delightfully spiced. No visit to Taos is complete without it.

The line is handled inefficiently leading to longer wait times than necessary. Food took a long time to reach the table, though it was good once it came. Also if you have anyone gluten-free in your party, I recommend looking elsewhere. We were told that both red and green chiles contained flour, for example. There are not many options for the gluten-free folks.

Servers were prompt and helpful, food pretty good, but it isn't enough to overcome the long wait and lack of options for special diets.

The wait can be long but it's always worth it. Everything is fabulous, from the stuffed sopapillas to the huevos rancheros and the chicken fried steak and eggs. The green chile is excellent and a great way to start the day.

A wonderful place with welcoming staff.
They have a lot of vegetarian options. We went for a breakfast here but the quantity we ate was sufficient to become a brunch instead. They constantly checked on us to know if we needed anything.
Will definitely come back when we travel next time.

We've been road tripping for over a week, and this was BY FAR the best meal I've had so far! I'm definitely coming back next time I'm in Taos.

The best breakfast place in Taos and maybe in New Mexico. Everything I want in a breakfast place; large menu; great food, including but not limited to American classics; rustic but comfortable furniture; good service; not horribly overpriced; and a parking lot! In high seasons expect to have to wait, but otherwise not. Even though Google says it's temporarily closed, it's in fact open Wednesday through Sunday 7 am until 2 pm.

Food was not authentic new Mexican. It had little flavor and we felt bloated after.

We loooooved Michael’s! We went multiple times for breakfast on our trip to Taos. We got the huevos rancheros and steak and eggs- both delicious. That vegetarian green chile sauce 🤤 🤤 They have a bakery case with delicious pastries and donuts as well!
