Used to be my favorite restaurant. The ONLY Vegan one in town! Well, somehow the owners had a loss of heart and thought it'd be a good idea to serve flesh for us to eat, too. NOPE! Now they're closed for good. Karma?

The menu says they have happy hour but they don't. They are also out of some more affordable wine / beer and try to up sell more expensive drinks...

I’m not opposed to a (mostly) plant-based menu, but it was strange that bison and cod are the only animal protein options. The staff were condescending and unhelpful when asked about the protein options. The french fries were inedible, bland, and over-cooked. The plant-based cheese was gross, and not because it was non-dairy.It is a beautiful space. I love that the bluegrass jam is back in this location, even if the food is disappointing.

Kid-friendliness: There’s no kids menu. A hot dog is $11…

Wheelchair accessibility: It’s not at all.

Awful! I ordered nachos with no meat. Well, it came with no beans, either, over salted, and a very weird consistency cheese, though I ordered real cheese. That cost me $15.99 even though server said she’d comp me the $2 beans, which showed up on my tab as $3. Worst nachos I’ve ever had other than in the Vegas airport. Couldn’t finish.

We arrived from our road trip, within 10 minutes of closing time, on a Saturday night and the staff graciously seated and served us with great food. Nice casual outdoor dining with local entertainment - was very pleasant. But, I left my purse there and was so very happy to find an email via LinkedIn from Alex and Julia, who manage Taos Cafe, letting me know my purse was safe and to contact them to arrange for its return. Julia took time out of her Sunday morning to meet me at the Cafe to return my purse with all its contents. Thanks for going the extra mile. Great food and great people!

A decent meal. Love the abundance of plant based options. Staff is friendly. Shaded outdoor seating is great for medium/large parties. Live music is a huge plus.

Lovely outdoor seating, live music often, tasty food.. love the new Taos Cafe! Could go back every day for the brisket tacos and of course the portobello fries. Get them both with the avocado crema. House made!

I can’t begin to say how good this place is. The best vegan food I’ve had in the US— and I don’t say this lightly. Live music, such great vibes, the owners/waitress was so nice. Must go in Taos!We had the vegan nachos, vegan burrito with red and green sauce, and the vegan meat lovers pizza. All 10/10!Also, try the Prarie Artisan Ale!!

I am vegan and don’t often get to be catered to. I came to visit my parents in Taos and we decided to try it for lunch today. The staff helped us understand what the cafe was all about and how to read the menu. They were super easy to talk to and ask questions. The ambiance is amazing especially on a beautiful day. Very relaxed and a great place to relax and have a chat. The food was out of this world! All homemade with recipes that are tried and true and so many options to make it right for you. It made it hard to decide and I’ll have to come back to try more!If you are gf, vegan, or just want to try something new and delicious, this is the place to try!

What a pleasant surprise to discover a place where my husband and I can find a menu that caters to both us! I’m eat mostly plant-based and gluten free and my husband still loves to eat “real eggs, real cheese and real meat!” This place has something for everyone. We are breaking are standard rule of going to the same place twice in one day while experiencing a new town! Going back tonight to try the dinner menu and live bluegrass music. Met the chef this afternoon and love his approach - “I wouldn’t serve anything to my customers that I wouldn’t serve to my daughters!”

The food was great. I tried the nachos with the red lentil chorizo, and I forgot I was eating vegan. The owner puts a great deal of care into his menu and ingredients and flavors. The in-house sauces were delicious as well. Would definitely go again. They just reopened, but if I come through Taos again, I'll definitely go again.

Vegetarian options: Just excellent. Superb vegan options too.

We drove 6 hours to get here before it closed. To be clear that was about an hour and a half out of our way. Why? Bc plant based is one of our fave restaurants ever!!! Come often Taos! This place is a treasure.

Everything tastes great and even our teen liked the food. We were lucky to listen to live music as well. We got the loaded nachos as an appetizer and it was huge and delicious.
