Seriously, what a bummer of an experience! We were seated and then just left hanging, no drinks. After a solid 30 minutes of waiting, we finally just threw in the towel and left. It's such a shame because this place honestly used to be amazing. I hope they can turn things around

A very unique place, definitely a most visit when in Taos, pizzas are great, the team was short staffed but still ok.
The place has a very unique vibe, unique food and unique staff.

This place is shockingly bad. Our order (pick up) was ready a full hour and a half later than stated when we ordered. The place was full of people waiting on orders placed hours before. They were out of something we ordered and couldn’t provide a refund. Our dessert was frozen solid. The chef and hostess were yelling at each other. It was actually comically bad. Do yourself a favor and eat pretty much anywhere else.

We placed our order about 6 pm after driving all day. Website tells us that it'll be 70 minutes that's longer than we expected but that's fine. Get here when they told us and they told us 10 more minutes... 10 more minutes later and the food is STILL not ready. You would expect a pizza spot that regularly gets busy would be prepared for it but apparently not. This is absolutely RIDICULOUS. I was talking to people who were dining in and they waited over an HOUR AND A HALF JUST TO GET SALDS. I'll never recommend this spot to any tourists EVER. ABSOLUTELY ABYSMAL SERVICE.

We waited 50-55 minutes for 6 wings, 2 single slices of pizza with side salads, and a spaghetti and meatball. The lunch plates (the pizza and salads) came first and then another 15 minutes passed before the wings. When we inquired about the pasta the gentleman said “what pasta?” My husbands pizza was great, but the spaghetti was mediocre and is clearly made with prego sauce. Not worth $16.50. Our friend waited 20 minutes for two sides of ranch. And the worst of all? It wasn’t super busy. Very disappointing. Service was also beyond lack luster. Slow and inattentive.

Don’t know about the food we waited an hour and they didn’t even turn our order, we paid for our drinks and left. Pretty frustrated. Hope no one else has that experience.

The waiting time here is absolutely unacceptable. What was supposed to be a simple pizza order turned into a test of patience. After waiting for more than an hour with no updates despite asking, it felt like they forgot about the order entirely.

When the pizza finally arrived, the taste didn’t make up for the wait . The Alfredo and veggie pizza seemed under cooked and completely lacked flavor. One side of the pizza was burnt.

My experience with the waitress wasn’t pleasant either. Asking for an update felt like a personal inconvenience to her. Her body language clearly spoke of annoyance. Not a hint of apology—just attitude which was served.

Overall, this place delivers exactly two things: patience training and disappointment.

Appalling. I write this as I stand next to a family waiting two hours and still hasn’t received their pizza. Their kids are at home and they have a drive back to Denver tonight, or they did. The staff behind the counter, no doubt stretched to their limits, couldn’t seem to care less - no update on timing, no apology. In fact, the response: “well these people have actually been waiting for over two hours”, with an air of absurd smugness, as they point to the grumbling crowd of un-fed who are regretting their night out in Taos, and silently competing to demonstrate their outer limits of civility. Others had cracked, leaving without paying their beer tab, mumbling disbelief as their stomachs growled in hanger.
As for us, we got our pizza right around two hours…because the couple who left 10
minutes prior with their order returned, saying “this isn’t ours”, and after a quick clarification turned the box over to us, the rightful owners of a pre-handled and cold pizza.
I say this as a local, who desperately would like to find a good quality in Taos Outback: this place should no longer be in business. It is an embarrassment, not just to itself but to the town. And if, while it somehow still is in business, and you are looking for a evening out and a nice bite at a casual local, you should absolutely take your time and money elsewhere. Anywhere but here.

Nothing like it used to be. Overpriced and inconsistent.

Dined here the day after Thanksgiving, so that might explain why they only had one waitress working, but they were totally understaffed, and the one waitress that was working was totally disorganized and seemed oblivious and uncaring about the fact that we waited 15 minutes to have our order taken. It took an additional 15 minutes and two reminders to get the beer I ordered. It was just under an hour after we arrived that our order arrived. I ordered the lunch special, which features a slice of pizza and a salad. The pizza was very good and salad was ginormous, consisting mostly of lettuce. My wife ordered the spaghetti and meatballs. She did not think they were good. She said that the pasta tasted “starchy/gummy” like it wasn’t properly rinsed and/or cooked. I might give this place one more chance just in case it was an off day, but my initial visit was unpleasant/aggravating due to the long waits and seemingly uncaring/disorganized attitude of the waitress.

Waited an hour for two burnt slices and got charged $25. Shoulda read the reviews beforehand. This place needs to close down already.
