Stopped in for a late lunch/early dinner and cocktails after exploring Taos Plaza. Check out their cocktail menu, they have some awesome craft cocktails… we did a Green Chile drink, and a Pineapple/Jalapeño drink… actually we did two each! Chips/Salsa/Guacamole were tasty. My friend enjoyed her pasta and my burger was decent. Friendly service in a nice open and airy vibe.

Worst steak I have ever had. It was cheap, tough meat that was way overpriced. I will never eat here again. Don't waste your money.

Terrible food! $32 for a cheap, tough steak. The worst I have ever had.

Must’ve hit it on an off-beat hour. Atmosphere was dead with the golf channel showing weight training exercises (highlight of my day), the salad barely had any dressing and was nothing to write home about. Same with the service. Maybe drinks with green chili tacos would have been better.

I gave it a 5.I tried Mexican cuisine several times and was not delighted. I went to the establishment on the first floor, but there were no people there, so we went up to the second floor to the Gorge Bar where it was noisy. We decided to stay. The food arrived quickly and, to my surprise, everything was delicious.

We're in Taos for a youth hockey tournament and we took out entire team here for dinner on 3/8/24 and the service was great, the atmosphere was very inviting and the food was wonderful. They accommodated our entire talent along with family members without any issues. Will definitely be back if and when we come back to Taos!

Slow. Friendly. Central. Chicken sandwich was just chicken breast on a bun. Good fries and beer.

Nice quite place to come after the slopes. I had the horseshoe margarita- they don’t mess around with the tequila!! I also order the tequila lime tacos that really hit the spot! Very much like street tacos. The bartender was amazing and sweet, making sure I had everything I wanted.

After a day slow rolling the High Road to Taos, the family was hankering for a warm meal. Considering the proximity to the holidays, it seems the gorge bar and Grill was one of the only places in town open, and the word was out... When we arrived, there was more than a one hour wait. But as my dad says in Vegas, "we're not here for a haircut," so we teased ourselves by reading the menu a few times, and hung out at the top of the stairs waiting for our turn. As a party of nine, it was actually pretty cool they could get us in at all. The fellow running the front end was very nice, honest, but compassionate about our long wait. He came out a few times to give us an update on other peoples meals, so we could gauge our anticipation. When they finally called her name, we all sort of let out a collective celebratory cheer, and hurried to our high table, surrounded by stools. Our server was nothing short of awesome; she kept our drinks filled, including those of several kids in our party who fished those drinks down to the bottom quickly. As for the food, I was pleasantly surprised by not only the quality and flavor, but the size of the portions for tourist prices. Even then, it was not astronomical. Everybody had a really nice time, and though we were there after their official closing time, they did not run us out, and we did not camp. The next time we are in Taos, I will definitely give this place a shot again. My son ordered a burrito that gave me mad FOMO, so I suppose we'll have to return soon.

Both I and my lady enjoyed the green chili chicken sandwich with really delicious fries. The fries are dregded in rice flour prior to frying, very crispy.Parking: The Gorge is located in the Taos plaza and sometimes parking is sparce but it's worth the occasional search

My family ate here twice on our vacation. The service was amazing our first trip but rather slow our second one, but they were rather busy the second time. The food was amazing both times and we all loved what we ordered. Very accommodating for my huge family. Great local spot to try out!
