Yu Garden no longer exists. It had a long run and will be missed. But! A paleta store (paletas are divine juice or juice and cream popsicles, plus some are coffee or chocolate, some are more gourmet with lavender or mint..) is setting up in the space. It will have more items than paletas. The goal is to be open by the end pf Sept 2023.
The food was great the service was fine. I did not expect such a pleasant experience. They do not have a liquor license and I missed me Singh Tao.

We stopped in for lunch during a week day while visiting Taos. As other reviewers have noted, the owner is knowledgeable and accommodating of vegan diet. Food was generous and delicious. We ordered the dinner sized portion instead of the lunch special so that we could have leftovers to bring back to our hotel.
Some of the better Chinese food I've had has been in little hole in the wall places like this. We don't have access to good Chinese food where we live so we were pleased with our food. Good vegetable variety in the pan fried noodles, not just broccoli, carrots, and onions I've had from other restaurants. You can actually taste the chicken in the General Tso's as it's not overbattered. The cream cheese wontons were light and crispy. We enjoyed chatting with the lady who served us and she saw to our every need.

I ordered the orange beef dinner. Very good and large portions.
1st time here.Egg rolls were delicious, but the 2 fried rice orders (one with beef and one with chicken) were sooooo bland! Not a spice on them. Nothing..Maybe they forgot?
Food is inedible. Indoor restaurant surfaces are covered with a thick layer of garbage and grime. Owners are unpleasant people. All of this and overpriced! Stay away.
my friends and I were in Taos over thanksgiving and came here for dinner on thanksgiving night. food was delicious and the service was wonderful. tons of creative veggie options for 3 of us that don’t eat meat. big portions and cheap. definitely will be back in the future :)

Big portions of seasoned food. Don’t expect anything fancy, just great food. Thanks
Casual Chinese takeout place. Its simple, but good! The owner is very kind. The Mongolian beef was delicious!
This was an unexpected gem that we stumbled upon. The lovely Taiwanese lady who served us was enough for us to love this place, but the food was truly exceptional and some of the best Chinese food we have had. We started with chicken dumplings (aka potstickers) that were lightly fried to a perfect crispness without any hard edges. The cashew chicken was filled with zucchini, mushrooms and pineapple while being generous with both the chicken and the cashews. ? The mushu pork is a highlight, as it was so perfectly made without being soggy or greasy. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend this hidden gem.
Had a good lunch there!
I stopped in at 7 pm and waited for about 5 minutes at the counter before anyone would take my order. I said it would be for takeout and was told it would be a 40 minute wait. Sorry but not worth it! I went next door and got takeout in 10 minutes.
