First time eating here since I moved to the area and I wasn't disappointed. Love the fire place!

We stopped for lunch on our way from Santa Fe to Albuquerque. My companion’s chicken wrap was good. My ($11) veggie soup was a thin broth with some potatoes, corn, green beans, regular beans; Nothing special and definitely needs some jazzing up. It could use some tomatoes and kale and herbs or ???

It was convenient and cute but I would look elsewhere next time.

Breakfast sandwich was good. Espresso drinks were decent.
Some other people's lunch paninis were a bit dry. Could use the larger water cups and/or improve the water situation.

Overall happy we came in.

The food is prepared fresh and they use unique recipes. They also carry Gluten free food.

This was our 3rd visit in 2 weeks.

Not everyone can tolerate chili, if you’re one of them then don’t go here. I had the breakfast sandwich, eggs and ham, was so hot my mouth still burns. If something is going to be spicy then it should be noted on the menu. Only sodas were Zia from Santa Fe. Ordered the ginger ale and even it had chili in it. Took it all back and just had a coffee. Husband said his overpriced sandwich was barely ok. He had the huckleberry ice tea that doesn’t have ice and tasted like water with dirt for color but it didn’t have chili haha.
The place didn’t accommodate people with mobility issues at all. Seniors beware. Only one handicap parking place in big dirt lot.
We are East Mountain residents for 34 years but definitely will not be going back to Roots and won’t recommend it to friends and neighbors. Go to burger boy instead.

Wheelchair accessibility: Very difficult

This is a cozy, cute place and great looking food and items for purchase. Stopped here after a hike because it was convenient. However, the food was okay, not wonderful, even though it all looked amazing. I wish it had been better. The flavors just didn't come together well, the cranberries on the salad were hard too. I didn't get a choice of dressing and I don't like lemon as a dressing. Met the owner who is super nice and all the service was wonderful though. Give it a try. Maybe the food choices were the wrong ones this day??

I got potatoes w green chile & cheese, lettuce and tomatoes, topped w their zesty sauce. Everything tasted great! Wonderful combination of flavors. I sat on the patio and was able to work on assignments w the use of their wifi. Tasty food, awesome friendly staff, beautiful atmosphere! Thank you to all the staff! You all are great! :)

A place to rest and talk. Eat light healthy brunch and get some decent coffee. Atmosphere is casual and rustic. Mostly quiet with local bikers, families and dogs/cats about. Quirky small town art scene vibes. Feels like someone's house and not a restaurant.
