Even though it had a great presentation both dishes lacked flavor. The green chile saved it a bit but overall very bland and a bit on the pricey side for what you get. Not very filling. Coffee selection was good and actually strong/tasty (if u like coffee) as they brew to order. The people there were very snobby unfortunately and made the experience less pleasant due to the constant loud complaints. Maybe it was just because they were old and in a bad mood…. Restaurant itself is a cute cottage feel with a fireplace in the seating area which was my favorite part of the experience.

What a cute, perfect place to stop for breakfast on our road trip! The 2 people working were so friendly, accommodating, and made good recommendations. The peanut butter banana fancy toast was delicious, and my husband loved the breakfast wrap with green chilis and the hot sauce that came with it. We got iced coffees and 2 warm muffins after they were suggested to us… also amazing. Highly recommend this place for breakfast or lunch, we hope to return!

I found friendly staff, yummy food choices and a rustic cabin type atmosphere. I love the fact that their menu is plant-focused with meat having to be added to most dishes. They offer a number of handmade and locally produced items - great place for some last minute Christmas gifts.

Happened upon this cute little place today. Walked in to fresh muffins being made and the friendly staff smiling and very willing to help us. Great menu, cute little shopping area, and wonderful fresh food. Chai latte was super yummy. Definitely stopping in again next time we are in this area.

Tried the breakfast burrito and Sexy Americano (an espresso drink they had). Both were awesome, and I really enjoyed the log cabin ambience while I ate. A cool local spot that's worth stopping at if you're passing through.

So driving back from the Mosca peak hike, I decided to swing by for a small latte. This place is super cute, and I mean super cute. I feel like this is what my wife would built if she had to make a cafe.

This place seems environmental friendly with the paper to go cups, biodegradable cups. The interior has a nice little cozy cabin and wooden finish. I'm a huge fan of that. Plus the patio is nice.

As for the drink. I had a PSL, which is the go to drink during the fall season. Well, I totally missed they had a maple spiced latte. Curse my eyes for not seeing it.

I will come back and update my review, because they have some awesome veggie dishes. I think my wife will dig this place too. So, to be continued.

Terrible food, great outdoor patio.
We ordered a spiced maple latte, pumpkin latte, a German breakfast, and the kale salad.
The coffees didn’t have any flavor at all, tasted like a plain latte, but they charge for non existent flavor. The kale salad was absolutely inedible. It smelled awful and was so sour, tasted like straight white vinegar. The German breakfast was very very small compared to previous visits.

Great place away from the city. Drinks are always well executed, but also great breakfast sandwiches and burritos. Menu is a bit limited since it's a small place. Great outdoor dining area if the weather is good, but inside is good too.

Wonderful discovery!
We were on our way home to Albuquerque after a circle drive up to Cedar Crest and back down the 14 to the 40 and back back into town. We were hungry, and didn't feel like pizza, which was the only option on the 14. We drove just past the 40 looking for a decent-looking eatery and decided to try Roots Farm Cafe.
We walked in and the first thing on the menu intrigued me: mushroom melt. My partner ordered a burrito and we sat in the cozy dining room next to the windows looking westward. Our food arrived shortly thereafter, and we were both impressed by both the delicious flavors and how absolutely satisfying each of our meals was.
I will recommend this not-quite-hidden but out-of-the-way eatery to everyone who asks, as it would certainly be worth a trip out of town!
