“This is the only "fast food" restaurant in the middle east mountain area. If you live in Tijeras, Cedar Crest, or Sandia Park, you have to drive to ABQ or edgewood for a quick meal. We eat here on occasion and it's always good!”

“Really cute coffee shop in the North Northeast. Plenty of indoor or outdoor seating. You have great mountain views if you sit outside. Wifi is really good if you're catching up on some work. It's pretty quiet during the week if you like reading, but gets busy on the weekends. Lots of caffe options, if you like variety. Great social spot for bicyclists or hikers in the area who want a little break before or after their adventure!”

“We tried this restaurant for the first time today. I got the chicken hibachi and an avocado roll, and my partner got the combination udon and an egg roll. We thought the food was delicious and reasonably priced. Service was friendly and atmosphere was also excellent.”

“You ever go in to restaurant expecting to just eat and leave, but end up laughing yourself to death because you vibe so well with the employees? That was our experience on 03/04 and Zu Hot Pot became the pinnacle highlight of our trip to Abq. Usually the highlight of a trip to Abq is not getting shot or robbed and this place far surpassed the usual expectations.The food was great, the hot pot was a new welcome experience much akin to a mongolian grill theme but different all on its own. The best part though was our waiter Tomas pronounced toe-moss I believe. Personally I would have gone with Tom-is but I digress and believe this young person should identify to whatever pronunciation Tomas prefers.Tomas came over and greeted us with an attitude befitting his age(16) and someone who works(possibly unwillingly) for the family business. Once I caught wind of the vibe and energy Tomas was presenting, we were quickly able to relate and joke through the rest of the night. The dry humor, subtle sarcasm, and slightly laxadasical attitude could turn some people off but for us it opened a door to a hilarious night of jokes, jabs, and laughter. We really enjoyed the night and have tons of jokes and laughs and overall great memories. I will be back to this place anytime I have the misfortune of ending up in Abq and look forward to more hilarious experiences and sneaking french fries into the hot pot.”

“This place is awesome! I went here for the first time after I turned 21, and our server was so sweet! She was very helpful in helping me decide on a drink I’d like, and was very catering towards us! In my recent trip here, I got the corned beef and cabbage to-go, and it’s still as delicious at home as it is in the restaurant! It is a taproom, so obviously it will be loud.”

“Went in Tuesday with my cousin like we usually do and was beyond disappointed. Our favorite server Chris is no longer there. So many issues we get a special item and described in in detail price was doubled and got it wrong 2 times before we gave up. The cheese was watery and extremely spicy. Got light lettuce on our nachos and it was either dry or rotten. Sooo disappointed and to top it all off my cousin got sick off the bad lettuce on there property. Just all around nightmare. Might have to find another place to make our usual”

“We visited Boxing Bear our first night in town and we loved the location. VERY dog friendly, great beer and several restaurants in the same strip center so lots of food variety. I could see this as a very regular hangout for locations with all those positives. We will visit again when we are back in town.”

“Had lunch here today. The staff was very friendly, and the food was amazing. I got an Entrée and a Sushi combination plate, so for one person, it was an expensive lunch... but I did eat two meals technically, still worthwhile.”

The seating has no cushioning and my butt was killing me after only being there with friends for 30 minutes. It seemed to be run by teenagers and I'm always leery of that .”

“Yesterday, Usekwu Foods offered up two delicious plates of Egusi soup with very tender goat meat and a plate of delicious Jollof rice! The fufu portions were perfect and everything was extremely fresh and piping hot when we picked it up.
