Great little local spot! Recommend the chai and lemonade!
Found this little gem of a shop this morning. Transported to a timeless bookstore and coffee shop!!! I love it. Don’t miss it if you are ever in TorC, NM
The young lady working there was so friendly and had a beautiful smile. Now I have to go back.
This is a wonderful homey little used bookstore. They serve good coffee and tea. They have two small tables and a couch for sitting. Its a great place to sit, relax and find that book you always wanted to read. They also carry New Mexico authors and books on New Mexico history. The also have a good metaphysical selection of books. The staff are warm and friendly as well. Its a good place to sit and have conversations with locals.
Great little shop that serves the community. Staff is always friendly and helpful. A real asset to the area.
Probably THE best store front ever, so cute! Lots of great books to browse, comfy spots to read, coffee/tea, and friendly service.
Nice relaxing place

Just went back for the first time since it reopened. It's smaller than it used to be, but it's still filled with books! There are also stickers, cards, and postcards (at $1 each!) available for purchase. There are a couple or three tables to sit at if you want to enjoy some coffee there. The coffee isn't fancy, but it's good. You can get prepackaged snacky sweets too.The lady working when I visited was super nice. There was no decaf ready when I asked for decaf, so she brewed a pot and brought my cup to the table where I was sitting. It's a nice place to hang out.
Black Cat has shrunk and there are fewer books to browse and tables to sit at. However, its revival is still a great joy and a welcome resource. We’re so lucky to have it back! The dark roast is good, there are a variety of treats, and the new proprietors are friendly and open to suggestions. I like being able to see out the windows more, with the book display shelves removed. It’s lighter, and there are some very nice houseplants in the window. I’d like to have fresh rather than packaged pastries, but this is a start-up and it takes time to make it all work.

A cozy place filled to the brim with books, old and new. Lots of local author picks, as well as cards, postcards and gift items. Grab a cup of coffee and a prepackaged pastry as you visit with friendly locals. A perfect T or C gathering spot.
Great vibe and excellent books.
