Don't listen to any of these 1 star reviews. Yes, the customer service aspect can be bit iffy depending on who's working but THE FOOD IS AMAZING. Hand crafted sandwiches, paninis, wraps, and more. It will take some time to get your order but it is well worth the wait. The new kitchen manager/chef, Skip, is a visionary who is trying to bring life to the dead and boring "Main Ave" in downtown T or C.

We come to T or C a few times a year and always try out new restaurants, and we saw this one advertised and decided to try it. We had the BBQ 4x4 with pulled pork and pork ribs and tomato bisque soup. They had run out of cobbler, so we got a carmel cheesecake cup. All of it was awful. The pulled pork and pork ribs were extremely dry, the cornbread was orange in color, and it did not taste like cornbread, and the soup and cheese cake had a very off flavor. There are better restaurants in T or C to go to.

If I could give this place a billion stars I would. Something this Texan has missed since moving to New Mexico, is good barbecue. I am happy that I found it! I just had the most wonderful brisket sandwich "The Bessie" and my husband had an amazing pulled pork sandwich "The Oinker". Anyone passing near Truth or Consequences, NM has got to come Fri -Sun after 5 and get you some!

My wife and I tried out the new barbecue at Further Bistro. We were both verydisappointed. They claim to offer Carolina style bbq but it is not that. Not even close. First of all the space looks like some poor persons rec room.It appears very dirty and unkempt. The outdoor area has some promise but isnt much better. The food is very limited, poorly presented and not at all appetizing. The salad was small and not fresh. The lettuce was brown. Now, on to the BBQ. Carolina BBQ doesn't use mesquite.Typically it is oak or hickory. Mesquite doesn't grow anywhere near The Carolinas. That alone would disqualify it as Carolina BBQ.Also, there are at least two beef options.Pork is king down there most places don't even sell beef. Why they don't switch it to local NM chile, mesquite or pecan wood is a huge missed opportunity. Keep it local folks. The side dishes were bland ( potato salad and slaw)and no hush puppies. The sauce was tasty enough but again not Carolina vinegar/pepper/mustard. Honestly, The place seems to be more like a person's minor hobby. BBQ, when done right is a long slow process. This ain't it. Considering the state of the space and the food they would be better served to close it down and remodel and get the food in order. There is no cohesive concept. As it stands I wouldn't waste my money there again.

Spartan, clean, but functional sandwich shop. The menu is limited to a small selection of salads, wraps and paninis. The drink selection is large but not posted, so you have to ask and listen carefully to the choices. The good news is the food is of a very high quality and the portion size is more in-line with European standards than the normal American excess. The service was prompt, terse but polite. The prices are in accord with the "new normal" which is high in my opinion.I think they have outdoor patio dining but I'm not certain. The high quality food and fast service will have me visiting this sandwich shop again and again.

I only gave Further Bistro three stars because I'm pretty sure it was my Gemini doppelganger that visited the business, not me. It's perplexing when Google reminds me of some places I've been that I honestly don't remember ever having visited.I'm sure the bistro is a wonderful place to go, but I'm afraid I'm going to have to look further if I want to find the answers to my lifelong questions.

Very small, 1 man, sandwich shop. Everything is made fresh to order so expect a wait if you have a large group. Also, choose the salad or sandwich option if yoi can. The wraps are good but too large to eat easily and the sauce inside makes the tortilla fall apart too fast. No dessert ?
