Asked what was the most popular and would sell out. She was not in a good mood and replied; cinnamon roll. We got it warmed (microwaved) up. Sadly it was stale and definitely not made today. :(
Two surly guys cussing up a storm was the only other people in the restaurant.

We stopped by on our way down i-40 and had a great coffee/tea and snack break! The gentleman who made our drinks was so kind and we loved the eclectic decor inside. Happy to support a small local shop!

The latte was good. The breakfast bowl was a microwaved mess. The cheese wasn't melted and there were almost no eggs in it. You can't charge people money for something this low-quality.

Great coffee. I loved the azteca. The chicken and dumplings were delicious as well. When I come back through I'll certainly stop here again.

A yummy unique lil spot. We were able to get some great coffee, espresso drinks and yummy pastries. They have quite a few gluten-free options on their menu as well which I really appreciated.
My sister really liked her burrito (the salsa in particular really added to it 🙌). The drip coffees were great, they had a really unique one that was flavored that we all like and a spicy aztec mocha drink with cayenne. I got a chocolate croisant wich was yummy, definitely get it warmed up though. There is a lot of chocolate in the center and it can be really solid out of the case.
Overall the vibes were great. Cute local goods, yummy baked good, fun seating, and great service.

This is a must stop on Route 66! Michael and his crew are super friendly and do a great job with delicious foods and baked goods . Be sure to take the time to check out all they have to offer.
Great coffee/bakery in town! The cookies were freshly baked and delicious. Coffee and hot chocolate were good. Location was convenient next to one of the major streets in town.

Everything about this place is awesome. The food, the coffee, the atmosphere, and especially the man behind the counter. Look forward to stopping here again one day.

I wanted to support small and local so I came here and regret it so much. I ordered a small latte, and when I watched the man make it, he didn't even make a fresh shot of espresso. He poured espresso that's just been sitting in the shot glasses for who knows how long (no prior coffee orders). I don't order espresso to not have a fresh shot made. I also requested a raw sugar packet because I like it melted with the shot (when its actually fresh and hot) but was told to add my own in. When I go to add it in they don't have packets so there was no way for me to measure how much sugar I was adding to my drink. The milk he steamed was screaming the entire time. For anyone who knows anything about coffee, (barista of several years here) you need to aerate the milk and he did no such thing. I had to listen to the torture of the screaming milk and watch the cold espresso shot for my drink knowing I'd be disappointed. Sure enough the worst coffee I've had for a long time. We also got 2 pastries and both were stale. When going at 6:30am on a Friday morning, I didn't expect old food or old coffee. So not fresh espresso and not fresh pastries. Literally no point in ever coming back or recommending this place

Looking for locally owned restaurants, we stopped at this quaint place. It had a good selection of bakery items and coffees which were delicious. The older two owners were very polite and welcoming. Unfortunately, the young lady at the register lacked customer service skills. She was unaware of the ingredients of the drinks, suggestions, or any charisma. If not for the other two store personnel, who were generous and kind, I would have rated lower. Good for a stop between Albuquerque and Amarillo which is a restaurant desert.

What an amazing place! Incredibly friendly and helpful, connected me right up for laptop power and wireless, amazing food, great prices, plus cool touristy stuff. Carlson's already seems to be an adored local spot, but any place that fundamentally looks out for us long-distance travelers is especially special!

Spent the night in Tucumcari and found the most wonderful coffee/ bakery shop on main St. Mike the owner welcomed us with all home made bakery items. Must stop if you’re traveling the I-40. Truly captures the nostalgia of Rt. 66.
