About Restaurant Composé

Restaurant Composé offers exceptional attention to detail and service, making it a popular choice in Nova Scotia. Known for seafood, Austrian schnitzels, and delicious scalloped mushroom risotto dishes, the restaurant has a small but carefully thought-out menu that never disappoints. Guests can enjoy stunning waterfront views in Annapolis Royal while savoring dishes like grilled salmon, pan-seared haddock, and mixed berry cheesecake. The risotto is especially praised as "to die for," and the roasted baby potatoes are crispy and well-prepared. The outstanding service and charming setting contribute to a memorable experience, with your host Amanda being a formidable lady who genuinely cares about the food she serves. Reservations are recommended due to its popularity, especially since it is one of only two restaurants open in the town on a Sunday night. The restaurant's unique character and beautiful bay location make it a favorite for special occasions and casual visits alike, with a nice selection of local and non-local wines.

the owner didn't let us in with bad manners because we were with our nearly 2 years old son. Strict no children under 12 allowed here!
A shame that we only tasted the anger of the owner and not the food.

Friendly, excellent service and meals! We shared the lobster cocktail and then I had the Orange Chili Scallops while hubby ordered the pan seared scallops. Both were delicious. I especially loved mine with the spaetzel as a side. It was delish with the orange chili sauce. Topped our meal off with the apple strudel.

Delicious light Food with an Austrian flair. Wonderful.
