The butter chicken poutine was amazing! The portions are worth the price and the waitresses are quite friendly. I recommend this restaurant!

Food is really good but I wouldn’t recommend coming if you’re a university student. The wait staff completely ignores you while you sit there and watch your waitress check on every other table but your own. I never have this issue when I’m with my father or grandparents here. They need to learn a lesson from Gabrieau’s Bistro when it comes to hospitality.

My boyfriend and I had dinner at The Brownstone in Antigonish, and it was a truly memorable evening. The atmosphere is warm and inviting — cozy, elegant, and the kind of place that feels both special and comfortable.

The food was fantastic: beautifully presented, flavorful, and clearly made with care. Our dishes were delicious, and we appreciated the mix of creativity and comfort in the menu. The service was attentive without being overbearing — our server was friendly, knowledgeable, and made great suggestions.

Add in the charming decor and the fact that it’s such a nice spot for a date night, and you’ve got a winner. We thoroughly enjoyed our dinner and will definitely be back when we’re in the area again. Highly recommend!

We all loved our food here. There waitress was very nice. Quick service. Beautiful atmosphere and decor.

There are several options that can be made vegan. And they can sub vegan cheese on anything. The mushroom and caramelized onion pizza with substituted vegan cheese was amazing!

One con: the bathroom smells awful and we could even smell it sitting in our booth.

Great spot! It was busy when we got there but we got a table within 10 min. The mussels starters as my main as I wasn't that hungry and they were amazing, fresh, and a generous portion. The kids meals too (and great value!). The staff was super friendly. Highly recommended!

Leaving a review based on service only. I wish I had gotten our waitress’ name…she said she had worked there for 6 years, long dark hair in a ponytail and very contagious smile. I hope that description is enough for her to be recognized.

She was by far the best waitress I’ve ever had. 2/3 meals were great, they were tasty, fresh and a big portion! 1 meal had some issues, I’m not going to elaborate because I don’t feel it’s necessary. This waitress handled the situation with absolute grace, understanding and went above and beyond to ensure we left the restaurant happy.

Our waitress truly made our experience outstanding. A business thrives because of the quality of its employees, their ability to handle challenges gracefully while ensuring customers leave happy. Thanks to the excellent service she provided, I’ll absolutely be returning to The Brownstone.

Showed up a bit late (8). Closing was 9pm. Service was good apart from forgetting my beer. I had the chicken tikka, generous amounts of chicken. Naan was more of a doughy grocery store vs thinner stretchier restaurant Naan but ok. For dessert I did the sticky toffee pudding. Smallish pudding but great taste. Came with a scoop of vanilla ice cream and floating in a generoua amount of sweet sauce/syrup.

Picked up take out on a sunny Tuesday night. The place was packed. Ordered the guacamole burger with the shepherds pie soup on the side, while my wife ordered the beet salad with chicken added. We were both very happy with our meals. I had never tried that kind of soup, it was almost like a light stew, very satisfying. We also got the peach cobbler for dessert and it also satisfied the need for a little sweet treat. Make sure you put the ice cream straight in the freezer when you get home though as it was pretty melted by the time I got back to our hotel with the food.

It was a rather mixed experience. I did not dislike everything, but overall our experience was not satisfying 🙃. I ordered a soup for appetizers and salad for lunch with falafel Haddock as protein. Everything was brought out at once. Our server promptly replaced the protein that was getting cold. However, I had expected the protein to be mixed or placed on top of the salad as one meal. The beet salad was good, the protein not so much. A dipping sauce was included with the protein which did not bring out the flavors. My wife had the baked Haddock which was fresh but bland, no taste.
We had high expectations as the restaurant was favorable recommend by our innkeeper.

First time in. Beautiful atmosphere. The food was pretty good. I’m picky with pulled pork sandwiches and I didn’t hate it (flavour was decent, just a little flat). The caesar salad and beet salad were tasty. The kids Mac and Cheese was ok, but very bland. I would definitely go back, but the food quality didn’t match the atmosphere. The waitresses and servers were friendly, but not very engaging with guests. It was a very basic exchange: “what can I get for you, thank you, come again”.
