Great historic property. Went to a wedding here and it was a very beautiful location. Definitely prepare for the bugs, we sprayed and only got one or two bites.

If the people leaving poor reviews did any research at all they'd know that the tearoom is only open a handful of Fridays during the summer. It's all run via volunteers who pour their heart and soul into it and get paid nothing. People who do actually visit rave about the food. Please don't judge the place based on people who showed up only to find it closed - not shocking since it's only open several days a year. The Facebook page is currently the best way to find out when it's open and what events are going on :)
Wheelchair accessibility: There is a wheelchair ramp into both the tearoom and the interpretive centre.

This is mainly for the "trail" system. All the times I've been there (just looking around) it's never been open. No idea what it is or why it's still there. As for the trail system, short version its not safe. I heard many good things about the nice trails that were there. Have to say sorely disappointed. So from the parking area (visitors center) to B where you can quickly get to the beach is fine. The beach access is nice but obviously have had landslides that make it hard to go very far. Doubled back to where B let me in and continued on through the forest along the coast. Was planning on doing that all the way to the end of the Coastal trail but at one point the trail all but disappears. There is a sign saying to watch out for poison ivy and stay on the boardwalk but there is no trail and no indication of where to go. Again there is a short little bit to the beach (which would have been nice to have had a indication of on the beach instead of doubling back and wasting time) Even going through the forest back to the parking area I thought I could take the route to the end of the Coastal trail but someone had obviously been through that with an ATV as there are deep muddy grooves in it. If you've never been here don't waste your time.
The view is stunning!
Confusing hours of operation... Call ahead to make sure it's open.. Drove out of our way because said it was open online.. Nice view, sad we couldn't eat there.
Was closed, in the middle of the season.
The food and the hospitality
The reason for the low star rating is that hours of operation don't seem to be maintained outside, or on the edge of the summer season. Late September in our case. Taking a detour out only to find it closed is fairly disappointing. The location is picturesque though, so the area is worth a stop. The neighbouring trails seem nice, so I hope to make a trip back out this way again some time.
I think a vegetsble serving would have rounded the dish off nicely.
Great food and service - amazing view

Excellent representation of Acadian food and tradition .
(Translated by Google) We went there for the hiking trails...Very beautiful along the coast interspersed with small trails in an almost wild state.(Original)Nous y sommes allé pour les sentiers pédestres...Très beau sur le long de la côte entremêlés par des petits sentiers à l'état presque sauvages.
Beautiful Place & Wonderful people!!
I highly recommend Chez DesLauriers if you want to experience true Acadian culture. The food is amazing and you will not find a friendlier group of volunteers❤️
Best fishcakes I've ever had!! I'll be back!
