WOW!! What an unexpected surprise! We were on our way to Bretton and needed to stop somewhere for lunch. Chose this darling restaurant and were supremely blessed with the best possible food and service. Everything was just delicious. Could not give this place higher praise.

Loved the burger and the beetroot salad, both were made wonderfully, service was nice too. Not a fan of their fries but we enjoyed our meal regardless

Absolutely LOVED the hodge podge from here. First time having it and probably last because nothing will ever compare to that dinner that day. Thank you so much for your hospitality. Highly recommend Gabrieau's Bistro.

Excellent food and service at reasonable prices ❤️
Sat outside in the sun, and enjoyed lunch salads - a Cobb salad and a warm Asian salad.
Bought a dozen of their buns to have with lobster in the evening

The food tastes okay, but the portion is super small. One portion is not enough for an adult to eat. I guess if I were an elderly person in my 70s, I might be full.

The service was good, the atmosphere was very friendly but the food for the price was ok. I wouldn’t say it’s the best restaurant in Canada, and we wouldn’t go out of our way to eat there again

By far the best meal over the course of a 5 day visit to Nova Scotia. The grilled veggie salad with goat cheese fritters was delicious and the seafood chowder was rich, creamy, and filled with yummy bits of scallops, mussel, and fish. Wish I could have sampled the entire menu!

Don’t you just love it when you’re traveling and come across an unexpected culinary gem? We made a day trip to Antigonish on July 25th during our recent visit from Alberta. We had made no plans for supper, but after visiting Peace by Chocolate we realized we should eat before heading back to Halifax. Never having been to this town before, we looked around and spotted Gabrieau’s down the road and walked in. I am so glad we did! As weary tourists not quite dressed for fine dining, we were nonetheless welcomed in cheerfully and the rest is history. The ambiance was elegant and the decor charming. I enjoyed the Lobster bisque and a beautiful tasty salad.(the bisque was so inviting, I didn’t even take time pull out my camera and, believe me, it was photo worthy!) My family were all raving about their choices and we left very satisfied for our journey back to Halifax. We had no room for dessert but their selection looked so yummy, we were certainly tempted! Definitely worth the 2 hour drive from Halifax and I look forward to doing it again one day.

Our meals were good, however the portions were smaller than expected. Quaint and fairly quiet atmosphere with fast and sweet service.

We recently met with a group of friends at Gabrieau’s for lunch. From the moment we arrived, we were made to feel welcome. Service was friendly and prompt, the decor and atmosphere is warm and relaxing. Above all, the food is beautifully presented and truly award winning. If you are in Antigonish, you definitely should check this place out.
