Coming from Ottawa -a city often celebrated for having the best shawarma in Canada -we picked Grape Leaves in Antigonish at random, not knowing what to expect. What we found absolutely blew us away.
The chicken shawarma was incredibly flavorful, perfectly spiced, and fresh. It was so good, we returned to order extra to stash in our cooler for lunch the next day.
We’re already planning to come back on our way home from Cape Breton. If you’re passing through Antigonish, don’t miss this spot. You’ll be glad you stopped.
