It's a spot to get food when you're hungry... But I'd go elsewhere next time. I didn't much like the food. Definitely needs some elevation. More of a local's dive than a rest stop for travellers.

My family and I stopped by this restaurant on our way down to Sydney last week. The young lady greeted us so warmly. She seemed eager to serve us! The gentleman that took our order was kind. She brought our food to us and I must say that I cannot remember having such a delicious omelette and potatoes with wheat bread in decades!! I would have to give it a 10/10 for taste and service! I cannot wait to return back home to NS and stop by this restaurant. I had tipped the server, but I should have also tipped the chef for his or her culinary skills! I would strongly suggest that if you are ever traveling from Halifax to Sydney that you stop and have a meal at this diner! Awesome service and the most delicious food.

Dropped in for breakfast after staying overnight in Antigonish. The food was crap. Everything tasted like it was out of a bag. The only thing real were the eggs.
You have to order your meal at the counter and they give you a buzzer to go pick it up when it's ready. I would not recommend this place, even tho they advertise that the locals eat here.

My wife and I recently had the pleasure to enjoy some great food at the Snow Queen in Antigonish. The dishes we had were an absolute treat. Good home cooking that activated our taste bud memory banks. My wife said the lemon butter fried haddock was the best she ever tried. We were well looked after by Jayden who was very attentive during our time there. The management of the Snow Queen has always been extra diligent in assuring their customers receive the best food and service available. We will continue to actively support their locally owned business whenever we visit Antigonish again. Much appreciated.
