Wonderful evening out with hubby! Dined in at bar side. Always fun to converse with your server. He offered detailed descriptions of everything from bevvies to the best cuts of steaks offered. We enjoyed delish oysters!… local from Sober Island. Loved the warm olives! And homemade ice cream for dessert. One of our best evenings out! And it’s local! ❤️
The highlight of our two week trip to the Maritimes was our meal at The Townhouse. Fantastic gnocchi, superb cod fritters, great atmosphere and service. Most highly recommended. We hope to be back.
Amazing Gluten-Free options (For Celiacs!!!) Wonderful service, knowledgeable staff, warm atmosphere. Enjoyed deep fried dishes (fries and chicken dish) from their gluten free fryer and all veggies, meat, etc. are locally sourced! Sauces are gluten - safe too! Support this local business :) Other places claim to be GF but are not for celiacs...let your server know and they will take care of you!

Recent visitors also enjoyed the confit pork belly bowl, which was very succulent and well marinated, and the squid ink risotto with calamari and scallops that tasted quite good. The garlic focaccia bread as a side was well received. Desserts include the must-try maple cake and cornbread French toast with honeycomb ice cream, which many find delicious. The restaurant is known for its real local flavors, fresh ingredients, and superior cocktails, making it a top dining choice in the area. Portions are satisfying, and the prices reflect the quality of the ingredients used. The staff are friendly and accommodating, enhancing the inviting atmosphere. Although service can sometimes be slow, especially when dishes are prepared individually, guests appreciate the overall experience.
