Captain Kat's Lobster Shack Reviews
After hearing how great this place was, I was shocked at the plate of food. The clams were so small they looked like they were only 3-4 mths old and only a few on the plate. The scallops were ok. Captain Kat's Lobster Shack is a quaint restaurant on Nova Scotia's South Shore, where friendly staff welcome guests with a genuine smile. The restaurant serves delicious fresh seafood, with the lobster rolls and chowder being standout dishes. The cozy atmosphere features cute seafaring decor inside. While prices may be slightly higher than expected, the overall experience remains enjoyable. One reviewer mentioned the amazing quality of the seafood and highly recommended the platter that has a little of everything, enough to feed two. Another guest praised the delicious halibut burger with creamed lobster and described the Guinness cake as "orgasmic." However, some diners have noted that the pricing can be excessive, as one mentioned being quoted $90 for a lobster, which they felt was overpriced. Despite being located in a strip mall, the restaurant's charm and friendly service shine through. It is recommended to make a reservation in advance, as the restaurant gets busy.
