Great, friendly service, and terrific food quality. Something about Blue Elephant that feels very authentic. The pad thai is a classic must-try, and the spring rolls are delicious as well.
Super nice staff, cool vibes, amazing food
I've been a regular at this restaurant for a while and have always enjoyed the food and atmosphere. Unfortunately, tonight's experience was disappointing. I found what appeared to be a piece of metal in my crunch salad, which I immediately returned to the kitchen.
While I understand Saturday evenings are busy, food safety should always be the priority. The staff handled the situation appropriately when I brought it to their attention, but this kind of issue shouldn't happen in the first place.
I hope this was an isolated incident, as I've had many positive experiences here before. I'd like to see more attention paid to kitchen procedures and food preparation to ensure this doesn't happen to other customers. Despite tonight's issue, I'm willing to give them another chance because of my previous good experiences, but they need to be more careful with food safety protocols.
Host/waiter is perfect. Pad Thai was very very good and lots of chicken. Great little place nice decor and great natural lighting. Great price for the lunch specials and very good.
Excellent food.
I usually love this place, I get a spicy pad thai with chicken every time and love it. However, tonight when I ordered it, the cook put in about 4 tablespoons of red thai peppers. This is far more than is normally put into the dish. I hate sending stuff back, so I picked out what peppers I could and maybe got 2/3 of them out of the dish. Reference photo!
When I brought it to the servers attention, she handled it well. I asked her to show the cook and ask him if this seemed like a reasonable amount of peppers. You could hear him yelling from the dining room about how that is normal. I've ordered this dish dozens of times. It's never been this spicy. Look at the photo! That's maybe 2/3 of the peppers!
It will be a while before I go back here..
I ordered for pickup online for Mothers Day. The wait time was 28 min on my computer confirmation. My Dad went to pick it up and there was no order and it would be two hours before it would be ready. He came home, looked up his MC bill and was charged for it. We went back to the restaurant it took over 20 min to resolve the issue and were told that it was impossible that we ordered on line. You can only order thru skip the dishes which don't deliver in our area. They did however find our food, it was listed our last name first and they claim that is why they didn't see it. We came home and ate. Dad was checking our his e-mail and there it was the time we ordered and the order.
Ordered food from here, was told it would take 25-30 minutes. Showed up and waited another 45 minutes. Staff was very rude. Not a great experience for my first time trying this place and don't think they deserve another chance.
I’m Thai, and I have to say — the food here is quite authentic and really reminds me of what I used to have back home.
I especially love the Pad Kee Mao Noodle, Pad Ped Gai Grob, and the fact that they serve Mama Oho and Pad Gra Prao, it instantly brings back my memories of Thai street food!
The service is great, and the staff give us a warm, welcoming feeling and they are super nice to us.
If you're looking for authentic Thai food, this place is top-notch and an absolute must-try!
We will definitely come back to try other dishes.
Best Thai food in Halifax.
I had Pad Gra Prow, and wow so good. Spicy, fragrant, and packed with flavor. The basil really came through, and the fried egg on top was just next level. Honestly, it felt like a little trip to Thailand in every bite. If you’re into Thai food, this spot is a must-try.
Excellent and personal service. Highly recommended

I had a very disappointing experience with my order. There were red food stains and even a piece of rice stuck to the receipt, which had been stapled to the paper bag—an unpleasant and unsanitary start. The small plastic container of peanuts was disturbingly warm, even warmer than the Pad Thai itself, which arrived cold.
The Pad Thai was underwhelming. It was overly sweet, lacked balance, and had very little overall flavour. Even more concerning was a strange tingling sensation on the side of my mouth while eating. At the bottom of the container, I found a mysterious brown liquid I’ve never encountered in Pad Thai—not in Halifax or anywhere else. I’m not sure if that’s normal, but it didn’t look right.
The food tasted off, as if it wasn’t fresh and may have been prepared in a dirty wok. Not long after eating, I started to feel sick, which only confirmed my concerns. Unfortunately, I can’t think of anything positive to say about this experience.
Update: Due to the poor hygiene and the fact that I felt unwell after eating, I requested a refund through the delivery app. Initially, customer service had difficulty reaching the restaurant. When they finally did, they were told I would have to wait until Monday (this was on a Friday) because the owner was on vacation. On Monday, I received confirmation that the owner had approved a full refund, and it is currently being processed. I expect to receive it within the standard processing timeframe.
Enjoyed our lunch. Pad Thai was very good and large portion.
Food here is always fresh and delicious, 4 stars only because the tips go to the owners and it’s not shared among the staff.
We liked other food except the pineapple fried rice. I hate to say that we had the worst fried rice but they had nice presentation. It was full of turmeric and had really strong smell. I would not recommend the pineapple fried rice. We were nice not to ask for exchange or return but could not eat.
Place is really nice, wish it was bigger, the massaman curry was very tasty as well as the satay skewers. Papaya salad is delicious and I love spicy food but it was almost over spiced to the point that you couldn't really enjoy it, and no warning meant I had no idea what was coming next haha. But overall a good experience. The place has plants trailing all over the ceiling 😍
