My new favourite restaurant in Bedford. The food is to die for. The atmosphere is high class but relaxing. Excellent cocktails. Our server was a bit shy by they did great. I would recommend the Halep Kebab.

One of the best experiences I've had in halifax. We had the eggplant sauté as starter and the mixed kebab for the main course and everything was absolutely astonishing.
Naćib was our server and he provided amazing service throughout the night.

Really delicious food! This was our first visit and even our young kids liked it, and that’s not always easy to do. The food came to our table hot and tasted very fresh like it was just off the grill. What a great first experience, we will be back for sure!

We had an amazing experience at Efes Turkish Cuisine. The shrimp kebab plate and mixed appetizers were full of authentic flavor and perfectly cooked. The Turkish tea was the perfect finish to a delicious meal. The service was friendly, the atmosphere was great, and while it’s a bit pricey, it’s worth every penny for the quality and taste

Ended up with a bout of the runs the day after I ate at that restaurant, eh. Pretty sure it was the rice, or maybe the noodles. The place looks real nice, I’ll give ’em that, but the food’s a bit rich and costs a fair bit too. Don’t think I’ll be heading back there, that’s for sure

The staff were so sweet and welcoming, it felt like home. The atmosphere was comforting and elegant, making it a cozy spot to dine with friends or a date night with a special someone. The food was delicious and filling and the wine was the cherry on top. Highly recommend! 😘👌🏻

Such a satisfying lunch! Highly recommend trying the Yogurt Kebab! I wasn’t sure what to expect, but it won't disappoint me.
It comes with cubes of pita bread topped with tomato and yogurt sauce, plus perfectly seasoned meat. The mix of soft, fresh, and crispy textures is just amazing. I had something similar in Turkey called Iskender Kebab, and it totally brought back those memories!

Also, the pita bread they serve at the start was so good. seriously blew me away. And a big shoutout to the super kind and friendly gentleman who served us. Absolutely recommend this place!

I don't even wanna give a single star to this place,
I walked into this place very politely and asked a server where the washroom was. Before the server could even respond, the supervisor behind her glared at me and, in a very harsh tone, said: “Our washrooms are for guests only, not for everyone.”

It was extremely uncomfortable and awkward, but I still gave her the benefit of the doubt and asked again, just to be sure: “So I can’t use the restroom?” Her response was a blunt “No, you can’t.”

What made the whole situation worse was that other staff members around looked shocked and embarrassed by her behavior, which shows that even they knew how unnecessary her reaction was. I was clearly in distress and made it obvious that I really needed to use the washroom, yet I was spoken to with complete lack of empathy.

Honestly, it wouldn’t have been a big deal if she had just explained it kindly, or even suggested that I could buy something and then use the restroom. Instead, the way it was handled felt rude, inhumane, and unnecessarily hostile.

I’ve never experienced something like this before, and it left me with such a negative impression that I felt I had to leave this review.

As a Turkish myself, I always go to Efes. Super clean kitchen and service so you know your food is prepared in good conditions. Really authentic Turkish food and best künefe. The chicken in mixed kebap was so juicy and Taştekin great! They are opening a new location in Spring Garden next month - can't wait!

My wife and I had a late lunch here recently. The first thing we noticed was the decor, the atmosphere and nice music playing in the background. The service was impeccable and the food is just fantastic. I had the chefs choice of appetizers and I loved every bite. My wife had the beet salad which was amazing. You need to go here and enjoy the wonderful Turkish food and culture within. Very highly recommend this restaurant.

Efes is absolutely amazing! The food is full of authentic Turkish flavors fresh, delicious, and perfectly seasoned. The bread came hot and soft, the meats were tender, and every dish tasted like it was made with care. The staff were friendly, welcoming, and provided excellent service. The restaurant is very clean with a warm and cozy atmosphere, perfect for family or friends.
One of the best dining experiences I’ve had in Halifax — I’ll definitely be coming back and highly recommend it to anyone who loves authentic Turkish cuisine!

Really nice atmosphere here. The lamb and lamb chops were tender and juicy, definitely a treat for meat lovers. It would be even better if there were a larger meat option for those with a bigger appetite.
