Typical Canadian Chinese food.

A few weeks ago I ordered take out combination of sweet and sour chicken balls and beef and broccoli. The chicken was good. The egg roll was good. The beef and broccoli was pathetic. Should be renamed broccoli and beef. I did complain but never got a response. I’ve always ordered from here but was terribly disappointed this time. I mean 3 pieces of beef!!!!

Ordered Beef with Broccoli. Tiny portions of thin beef, quite tasteless. Would never order it again here. Moon Tong in Tantallon and Look Ho Ho serve terrific Beef and Broccoli with liberal portions of beef that actually look and taste like beef.

I honestly don't know how this place isn't rated higher.

It is the definition of the quintessential Chinese combo.
Chicken balls, rice, beef and broccoli, egg roll, chow mein.

Nice location as well. Would be a nice place for a work Christmas party or something similar.

I HAD FOOD FROM THERE TONIGHT BUT NEVER AGAIN. EVERYTHING TASTED LIKE IT HAD SAT IN SERVING TRAYS THE WHOLE DAY. NOTHING TASTED FRESHILY MADE

I rarely review places, unless it’s amazing or I feel like I’ve been ripped off. This is a case of the latter.

Decided to order a couple of meal combos for my partner and myself. We both went with sweet and sour pork, chicken chow mein and fried rice. We got a couple of eggs rolls for good measure and waited for delivery.

Everything came on time. The food was packed well, it smelled great. I thought I just hit the jackpot.

Opened the box to find that, for some reason, chow mein is a few fried noodles on top of a massive bed of bean sprouts. This is normally chop suey anywhere else, but here, it’s chow mein. Ok, not the end of the world. I didn’t read the menu more thoroughly, so that’s on me, I think to myself (Granted, there is no actual description of each combo item and what the ingredients are. It just says “chicken chow mein”).

Egg rolls weren’t bad, but kind of…wet? Ok, this is a bit odd, I think to myself, but the flavour was still good, so i figured it was time to try the pork. But…where is the pork??

After moving my food around, I find 5 (yes, 5) small, tid bit pieces of fried pork. Like, the size of half a pinky finger each, at most. The sauce was on the side which was great to keep it crispy. It all tasted great, so no issues there…

But when people are paying roughly 18-20 dollars for a combo per person, make it worth their while. It was obviously and deliberately cheap on their part. And I hate to say it, but calling something chow mein and packaging it as chop suey, when every Chinese restaurant I’ve ever been to serves chow mein as…you know, chow mein, seems purposefully misleading.

The food tasted great. I was happy with that. But I don’t appreciate it when it feels purposefully cheap. Will never return out of principle. Will still give the food a couple of stars for a rating because it does taste good. They obviously can cook! But it’s not worth what you pay for what you get. Not even close.

We have been going here since we moved to Sackville. We love the food (LOVE the egg rolls) and my daughter LOVES Amanda and Shelley. All the staff are great; Amanda and Shelley go above and beyond

Great tasting food, although I found online menu prices advertised cheaper than the same items inside the restaurant. Service was very pleasant

Went there with myself and 5 other people. Turns out they pre-charge a 15% tip to the bill, if there are 6 people or more which makes no sense.

The food was alright, though the rice was tasteless. They should tell you up front about the pre-charged tip (which they call a service fee).

The plethora of crystal chandeliers was a bit surprising, but it's a nice restaurant. Feels more like a banquet hall, but not in a bad way. Very clean and the robot server is a fun novelty, although the servers are very efficient and friendly. Good size portions, and the chicken was all white meat. The rice was a bit cool, but not terrible. Really liked the beef and broccoli.

The boss' service was poor and stingy. We brought four lobsters, each lobster cost 30-35, but because we charged per lobster, we were told that we could only choose 2 flavors.

A few weeks ago I ordered takeout and the food had a burnt taste to it and I thought it would be a one time thing but then last night I ordered takeout again and it was the exact same burnt taste …. Also I get the chicken balls added to my combo and there is only 3 balls. Huge disappointment ordering from here just to throw most of my dinner in the composter ?
