I sat waiting at the counter for a few minutes while two employees chatted and drank a smoothing. They both had gloves on while drinking their smoothie and one was pouring a drink into the others mouth, and I had to ask him to change his gloves……. The SMOOTHIE WAS OVER-BLENDED to the point I just tossed it away after maybe two sips. Colossal waste of my money. I wanna go back but not sure i will even get a decent drink.

The lady with the glasses that’s always there is losing business for Pete’s! I have been turned away so many times by her because it’s “too busy” or “I have to wash blenders” or she’s away for her lunch or she just doesn’t want to! It’s so annoying to come there for a smoothie and waste your whole lunch break because she doesn’t want to serve you! Her attitude is also awful!!!!! I’ve been disappointed too many times trying to get a smoothie there because of HER. She acts like ordering is a smoothie is such an inconvenience for her but news flash, that is literally your job lady.

Despite the bad comments here, I have always received the best attention from the people here, they are kind and nice and I always get what I ask for. They use fresh fruit and good quality products. I definitely recommend it.

Just received (Saturday April 29th, 2023 noon) the absolute SLOWEST service. Then they made my "smoothie" wrong and WAY over blended it to the point it was no longer a smoothie, it was juice. NOT what I ordered. I ended up just tossing it out.I had to correct her THREE times while making it, and her coworker has his back to the line up of people, and orders. Leaving her to do it ALL.Not enjoyable, incredibly slow service.

Very difficult employee to deal with. Extra charges to substitute almond milk for orange juice? They also have no plant based protein powder and we're out of almost everything. Won't be back!

Smoothies are good but they need to get their hours straight, it’s annoying showing up in the middle of the day to find them closed. It’s so inconsistent that I called Pete’s ten minutes before I got there today to make sure the juice bar was open, and arrived only to find that they were in the middle of closing early for the day.

Today my family and I went to Sunnyside mall and I grabbed my lunch from the lunch counter at Pete’s Frootique. This Montreal Snoked meat sandwich is so good!! I forgot to take a picture in the beginning… I could not wait to get into it! I added the Covered Bridge Sea Salt chips to go with it. I will buy this again… and again… and again! The service from Braeden and Emma were really great too. They cleaned their hands before preparing our orders and paid attention to my husbands pickiness on condiments… lol

Pete’s came highly recommended by friends who are also locals. Love the selections and reasonably priced. Visited twice already. Pretty sure I’ll be back before I leave! Nice folks who work there!

We ordered the Chicken Pesto on sourdough bread is what we ordered - some yum and the chicken was oh so tender. Enjoy the walk up sandwich bar.

We visit here frequently when in Nova Scotia, but this time was the worse experience we have had anywhere in a while. Service was slow although there were plenty of staff behind the counter. Totally disorganized. Spouse wanted the advertised BLT sandwich and she was advised they had "no bacon" but did have bacon bits. Really!!!!! Attached to a supermarket and no bacon, it was laughable. This was a Friday and out of supplies. She selected something else and we moved on to pay. We waited and waited what seemed an eternity to get our sandwiches. We went to the table and realized, no napkins. Off we went back to the counter to ask for some napkins, and were told they were out of napkins. OMG !!! In COVID times, out of napkins on a Friday afternoon. This restaurant needs a lot of work, out of basic supplies on a Friday afternoon and the service was just average at best.

I went for breakfast. Cheap food and very slow. After I paid and waited for my food, I watched many people come and order and go. I checked in with staff to ensure they hadn’t forgotten about my order and they rudely told me I never ordered. I told the man working there I had ordered with him 20 minutes ago and paid. I don’t think the rudeness was needed for someone who politely stood there waiting their time. They continued serving customer who came after me and eventually got around to my meal. No one apologized for this service. Will not go back.

Never disappointed! So many options to choose from and always so yummy!

My go-to place for “specialty” ingredients. Good source of various ethnic ingredients. Some unique vegan prepared frozen foods (those tend to be on the pricey side, but the fresh produce is priced competitively). They have imported vegan cheeses like Sheese too. Some vegan foods in their deli case- the sundried tomato chickpea salad is my favourite! Other rotating salads are sometimes vegan, plus things like veg or lentil pakoras, vegan Jamaican patties, etc., that staff will heat up for you. They have a sandwich/salad bar just outside the store with a good assortment of ingredients if you want food to eat there; soups are sometimes vegan too. There's also a juice bar (fresh juices should be vegan and some smoothies can be made vegan too- you can add protein, etc., but make sure to specify vegan because they also have whey protein). Their downtown Halifax location is even bigger, but if you're in Bedford (or want easier parking!), this is a great spot.
