Ate here twice in one day. What a treat! The staff is inviting and knowledgeable. The food is outstanding. The drinks are delicious. The ambiance is perfect. One of the best meals I've had in my life.

Both of our meals were well cooked, showing a sensitivity for food, and the service was attentive, and this was the best restaurant in Cheticamp, (we tried them all) there is little innovation in the menu choice, the presentation is not professional and the ambiance is sad. There is no theme to the decor and zero nod to the local Cape Breton ocean or land.We were seated in the interior on a blustery October evening, on former church pews are the seats, with the tables so close together we had zero privacy for any conversation and the couple seated next us, also went into silence once we were seated. They too felt "in each others privacy zone". An uncomfortable experience that overshadowed the overall meal.Parking: Parking is tight even on a blustery night with driving rain.Wheelchair accessibility: not wheelchair friendly, and because my hubby had a walking cane it scared the hostess who failed to ask where we wish to be sat so they sat us in a tight corner that was not what we wanted.

I stumbled upon L'abri and am I ever glad I did. I looked over reviews and I'm so glad I didn't listen to the negatives. This place is a gem and the food is AMAZING. Perfectly situated on the Cabot trail. With that said, I highly recommend making a reservation. We got the jerk chicken wings and the flavor was impeccable. The chili sesame broccolini was so delicious, we couldn't stop dipping our fries into the sauce. Oh and not spicy, don't let the name fool you!

Good restaurant with a splendid window view to a cliff across the water. The interior decor was lovely and perfect for a date night setting.The lobster was finger licking good. I spent a good 30 min dissecting it and enjoyed every last bit of it.Take note this is one of the more popular restaurants in the area, definitely recommend having a reservation for this place

Amazing sunset view and great services from the waitress. The location is a gem. However, I must say I was very disappointed with the food quality. It felt overpriced for what seemed like frozen, cheaply made dishes. If the menu matched the scenic beauty and service, it would be a top-notch spot.

Food was pretty tasty. Small menu but I’m sure everything is good. Our server was lovely, and the people who sat beside us were locals and very nice.We had the burger (honest one of the best burgers we’ve ever had - with the parm fries) other than the fact that the my bun was a little burnt .. and my bf had the butter chicken tikka masala which was very good! He was still hungry after the fact though. We started with the mussels, they were good quality but the broth was just “okay”. They also didn’t come with baguette or bread etc.. and I’m always so confused when restaurants don’t include grilled bread of some sort with them - so that was a little disappointing! Either way, we would come back when we visit Cheticamp.

Really enjoyed this place as it was recommended by a number of people across the island. Had the steak frites and the gnocchi. We also has a slice of cheesecake and a creme brule. Server was fantastic and added to the experience. The style of the place was well laid out and our seats would have been perfect had it not been raining while we were there. If you are in Cheticamp I would strongly encourage you to make a reservation and go. You can simply book online. Will visit this restaurant when we come this way again.

Really enjoyed the broccolini appetizer. Had the L'abri burger and the fish and chips.Atmosphere is cozy in the evenings and feels like you are at home.
Absolutely incredible.Beautiful little spot on the water - the food was amazing & the staff are super friendly!Definitely Recommend if you're in the area!

Travelled all the way from Ontario for this one! Broccolini is top tier, better than anything we have had before! Vibes are great, the views are even better and the staff make your experience one to remember. If you’re doing the Cabot trail or just find yourself in this part of the island, it’s a must stop place!Vegetarian options: This place has more vegetarian friendly options than you’d see at most places in the east coast!Parking: Great view of the ocean!

My friends and i came into the restaurant for a girls night. Little did we know that Blaine would turn our already awesome day into the best one. The service was 30/10.. as always . The food was AMAZING. More than enough cheese..dressing...sides. we were all blown away. The time spent into these delicious meals is quite evident in the taste and presence of the plates. You will be blown away. Make it a point to stop here. Add sunshine to your vacation and fireworks to your taste buds❤️?

First of all, it was hard to find this restaurant. If you're heading southwest on Cabot Trail, you can't see the name of the restaurant at all. If you're driving the opposite direction, you may be able to spot the name on the building which is facing southwest. Glad we found it!Didn't know we had to make a reservation, they had no tables available, so we sat at the bar. Ordered Crab & Lobster Roll with shoestring fries, and Chili Sesame Broccolini. My husband and I ordered the same thing. The bartender was our server. He was so nice! The food was amazing, so amazing that we went back the next night, and ordered the same things!

Everything was very good. Our guests found it was a little pricey for the amount, especially the desserts. The music could be just a little bit lower as our senior guests, at times, had a difficult time hearing our conversation.
