I stopped in here for supper and tried the chicken fingers, kaiser burger and fries. Everything was great and the chicken fingers were the perfect size for littles. Staff were friendly and I only I waited about 15 mins as there were about 4 orders before me.

Okay, look—it’s a walk-up window where you get food after you’ve been on the road for a good while (in our case half a day) so your expectations are likely set low. Ours were. And yet the food was great, the ice cream was fantastic, and the staff genuinely gushed over the doggo. A wonderful experience all around (and seriously, the ice cream was so good). We were so lucky we got in just under the radar of the last few days before they closed for the season.

The inside of the restaurant is really cramped and they only have a small one person bathroom. I wouldn’t recommend going to eat inside. They do have outside seating, however.

Expensive for what it is, and the wings (15.99) and poutine (12.99) were both mediocre. Fries (5.99) strips (15.99 for four) were good but the price didn’t match the quantity or quality. Id skip this one.
Mr Chicken has quickly become a favourite for my son and I. We ate there before doing a tough overnight hike in the Cape Breton Highlands and it was delicious! The best fries we have ever had according to my son. It was so good that we stopped again after the hike for another meal before driving home. Outstanding and definitely recommend. Great food, friendly staff and nice environment especially if you can sit out front enjoying the view.
