Wabo's Pizza Sub & Donair

Gluten free pizza was pretty good, it's just really hard to get the crust cooked evenly so it was burnt on the outside but soggy in the middle. I've only ever found 1 place in Canada that has accomplished this feat - so I'm not mad. It was delicious anyways and we enjoyed a walk around the dock while we waited.

We had 5 Donairs here for dinner with a can of pop each. Over $100! They were easily the worst Donairs we've ever eaten. Tastes like they were made in a microwave. Meat was chunked up rather than sliced. No crunchy bits. The pita was stale/freezer burned. What a disappointment.

Location was amazing with pretty view while eating dinner on the patio overlooking the water.

Paid 19.43, for a “Large” Donair and a can of ice tea. The “Large” Donair was the size of the Ice tea.

So here's the thing, the food here is honestly below average or probably not even that!! But I’m giving it 2 stars purely because it’s the only place open a bit later, until 11 pm. So if you’re hunting for a late night bite after sunset and have no other choice, this place might be it
We ordered pizza, and I’ve never had one this bad, as the cheese was stale and super chewy. We ended up scraping it off and just eating some of the base and toppings. Overall, the food quality and taste aren’t great, so I wouldn’t recommend it unless it’s your absolute last option.

Nice pizza (american style) and smily service (even in the rush-was after 8pm where all places are closed), in a french acadian place. A bit expensive (~35$ for a 18’pizza) and 1h waiting for 2 pizzas.

Nice little pizza shop right along the Cabot trail. Minimal seating inside (3 seats) but there's a really nice patio along the water for sunny days.

Staff were super friendly.

Food was ready fairly quickly. 30 mins for a pizza and garlic fingers. Pizza is pretty good. I usually like mine a little thinner and tighter - if you're an avid pizza fan like myself, you know what I mean.

I'd like to eat here again and try one of the subs.

Definitely give this place a try if you're traveling through Cheticamp.

We came to pick up four pizzas to eat at home. The woman who took our order was very sweet and friendly. It took about 25 minutes for our pizzas to be ready. They were delicious!

Highly recommend! We stopped in for supper during our stay and it was one of the only places open! Wait wasn’t long and they were busy, staff was polite and efficient, THAT VIEW, and the food was delicious (I got the nachos)! Will definitely stop in again next time I’m in town.

We are visiting Cheticamp and stopped in at Wabo’s for lunch.
It’s a take out place but has an out door patio over looking the habour, which is great!
The cashier was very friendly and provided lots of info about food on the menu.
We ordered 2 make your own pizzas, a donair and spaghetti and meatballs. The food was ok. The make your own pizzas could use a bit more topping and thinner crust. The sphagetti and meatballs has obviously low quality frozen meatballs that tasted chock full of starch and the sauce could use some more flavor. The donair was ok, but lacks the lettuce that many other donair places have to add to the crunch.

I got the steak sub. Surprisingly really good. But pricey, but a healthy portion. Would order again .
