I recently played a round in Clare. The staff was excellent. The course is in great shape. We had played several courses in the area and this was my favorite.
My husband and I not only had a fantastic lunch at Clare Golf & Country Club, but we had a great day playing golf. The golf course has a nice layout, and the greens were good. The service was top-notch of Teresa in the restaurant and also Nicholas when we checked in to play golf. Thank you.
Beautiful course in fantastic shape. Friendly staff in the pro shop and massive portions in the club house. Awesome š!
Challenging course. Good condition. Friendly staff.
Very well taken care of course. The staff are always friendly and helpful.
Beautiful course! We are so lucky to have this in our backyard šā³ļø
Course is in great shape; used the lung book with a few buddies. Had a fantastic time.
Recommended to eat here by local AirBnB owner. Wasn't disappointed either. Great value for money place I thought. Very clean and tidy and lady that served us was lovely.
I can definitely recommend the Scallop Burger ?
We decided to try here for lunch. The food was amazing and all 9 of us loved our choices. The team provided great service and shared some stories and insights about the local area and culture.
Our kids really wanted to try golf, and the course offered free balls and rental clubs to those under 19. They had so much fun in this beautiful, relaxed place, that we ended up spending a few hours there.
I recommend their "chicken roast dinner" . It's quite filling for the price and the grilled apple slices were a nice touch to the salad. The service was also relatively quick. The plate could be a bit bigger for this dish because I felt it was a bit difficult to eat.

Beautiful property. Excellent food and service.
Absolutely a stunning and enjoyable course to play! Love the course!
Had lunch Friday past with my life Coach, who is a good cook and a harsh critic. He had the fish and chips, 15.00cdn. I had the beef dip special 12.00cdn. My life coach would have had the beef deep but he is waiting for his dentures. After exchanging bites, he agreed that the beef was tender enough without the dentures. I tried his fish. We both agreed, the Doucet Fisheries haddock was the freshest we had in many years and cooked to melt in your mouth perfection! So happy we have a great place to dine in Clare for a fair value
8/12/23 As expected from our previous visit to Clare Golf Club, the course was in good condition. We teed off early as the weather forecast was for a catastrophic day. We were reminded of what a lovely location this course sits in. The tight and undulating fairways are flanked with tall gums and pine trees - fairways were in very good condition. The ball rolled beautifully on the āsoftā greens - you could really attack the pin knowing the ball would hold onto the green. As we were finishing the last couple of holes the weather changed dramatically with winds over 80 km an hour. Add Clare Golf Course to your bucket list of courses to play in country S.A. Please read my previous reviews. 27/10/23 Clare golf course is a hidden gem in a quiet peaceful setting. Kangaroos add to the overall experience. This āchallengingā 18 hole golf course was presented in very good condition. The majority of the tight fairways can be described as undulating with trees lining both sides. Given the slopes and the dog legs, you have to think your way around the course, particularly when teeing off. You can āattackā the āsoftā undulating greens. The fairways were the best with seeing them in the last couple of years. Most of the greens were in excellent conditionā¦ā¦.. after chatting with a couple of ground staff they made mention of a fungal disease that had got into a few of the greens but were now on top of it. We also met Phil (Pro) when we sat down for our usual coffee and chat after 9 holesā¦ā¦.. we complimented him on the condition of the course. He was very welcoming and obviously proud of the presentation of the golf course. The signature hole is the 7th par 3 that sits high above the golf course with fantastic views over the tree topsā¦ā¦ see videos. We look forward to visiting again. UPDATE: 3/11/19 Our golfing group decided on a 3 day golfing trip from our homes in Adelaide driving to and playing Whyalla Golf Club on a Friday, then playing Port Augusta Golf Club Saturday morning, then off to Coppercoast Golf Club at Port Hughes Saturday afternoon then playing Clare Sunday morning and finally onto Balaklava Sunday afternoon...... All courses have WATERED FAIRWAYS AND GREENS. We had a fantastic time and can highly recommend this as a great āshortā golfing holiday.
Beautiful round of golf, nice course. No course marshal to assist with slower groups in front. Forced to stay and wait as 4 sum refused to allow a pair to play through. This lasted 5-6 holes from 13-18 approx.1 course marshal intermittently would fix this. Not the courses fault folks are unkind or unwilling to do whats right and ethical. However the course can try to ensure things are being done well/ right.Great round, love the lay out, hope to be back.
