I have to update my review of this place. We went in today , not sure if there’s a new Cook or new owners, but the batter was sparse, flavourless and the even asking specifically for well done, received lightly cooked clams and fish tips, so the clams were chewy, and the fish was soggy. No crispy crossed on either .The only thing that was well done as requested was the Fries, which tasted like they were triple cooked from the day before. When we indicated that what we requested wasn’t done, we were met with blank stares. Didn’t finish 90% of it, took it home and will either put it in the air fryer to crisp, but most likely it will end up in the compost. Not impressed. We travelled from Halifax, but this one is off the list of our favourite fish and chip places.

The fish was delicious and nicely cooked. The only reason I gave 4 stars is their chips are too thin for real fish and chips chips. I'm a Brit so my standards are high!

This place is has to have the worst staff we have ever experienced anywhere in the valley . From eye rolls, loud sighs to pure ignorance. Was a go to for me and my family and after all we tolerated we would not recommend this place to anyone !!!
Amazing food at decent prices ,big portions

We have found our new favourite chippy! We moved to NS a few months ago and have been on the hunt all over trying places recommended to us. The others have been good, but Scott's is the best by far. We had the special of the day which was the small seafood platter. Everything was perfectly cooked. I'm not a big fan of my fish drenched in batter. Theirs is exactly the way I like it. Light and crispy. The tiniest complaint I have is the coleslaw was a little heavy on the mayo, but the flavor is so good I used it in place of tartar sauce and it was the perfect bite. Like most of the older small restaurants in the valley, it's a bit dated and could use a little freshening up, but it was clean and tidy. The portions were generous, we barely finished. Can't wait to try some pie next time, made by the owner's wife.
Scott's is everything you'd want from a small town, local, mom's and pop's shop.
