Cool little private club in lake banook

Great spot for a small wedding or party!

My Father, Winston Michael Cooke, was a member of this club from way back in the 80's to 2006.

As such when I was a child I got access to one of the finest views of the Lake. We would come down and watch the dragon boat races, the kayak races, and general swimming.

We also had a private sand beach!

I remember that the top floor had a shuffle board setup on the eastern wall. As well as both a taxidermied Snowy Owl and a Great Horned Owl.

If only membership could be inherited, because I would have loved to keep It going for myself and my future family.

Our friend hosted a birthday party here, and it was great location with a great view of lake Banook!

We booked for our wedding. Joel was the absolute best. Incredible communication and super flexible.

Had our wedding ceremony here on the grass. Joel was super helpful and accommodating during the lead up and event. Easy going and professional. Flexible - all good things.

The venue was booked for an offsite meeting. The facility was absolutely gorgeous, meticulously maintained, yet very affordable. 10/10 recommend for personal and business use.

A venerable Dartmouth club available for event rentals. Beautiful view of Lake Banook with balcony. I've attended wedding receptions, birthday parties, and Celebrations of Life there.

Best location on the lake and at a great price

The staff at The Owl Club are unprofessional, incompetent and completely unethical. Never book an event here unless you want constant headaches, poor excuses and a terrible experience.My brother's wedding was booked here 1 year in advance, and two days before the wedding their at The Owl Club venue was under construction - with no notification given to the bride or groom until the day before their wedding. The President of The Owl Club gave assurances he would fix the problem immediately and make the venue habitable for their big day, but ultimately no action was taken - demonstrating zero leadership on his part and a complete inability to follow through on his promises.If I could rate The Owl Club with a negative star count, I would.Every one of their members should take a long look in the mirror and think about what being associated with such a poorly run organization may do to their own reputation down the line.
