“For the most part we enjoyed our breakfast. For me I was disappointed in the amount of hash browns that were on the plate relative to the size of the plate. With the cost of the meal the value just didn't seem to be there. I'm all for recommending others try the place for themselves but I won't be rushing back myself.“

“GREAT breakfast! Breakfast/Brunch is my favourite meal to dine out for (admittedly I go out to eat quite often) and the Big Street Breakfast did not disappoint. Everything was perfect - crispy bacon, delicious housemade hash browns, BEANS! Who doesn’t love beans!? The staff was friendly and attentive. I love a casual neighbourhood spot. If you’re looking to add a breakfast spot to your North End/West End rotation, I highly recommend checking this place out. Looking forward to going back soon!“
“My son and I had a wonderful experience at the Young St location during our March Break staycation. The service and staff were amazing and the food was delicious. My son thoroughly enjoyed his first time at P&S but it won’t be his last :)“
“Went this morning for brunch and had the Croissant sandwich and the Sweet and Savoury (pictured), the food the absolutely delicious, generous portions of Brie in the sandwich. However, my fiancée’s sandwich wasn’t as baked as mine and the Brie was still cold, hence the 4 stars for the food. The coffee was flavourful and well brewed. We each had a macaroon on the way out, they were some of the best we’ve had.“
“This place is amazing....pretty much the same thing as pure and simple but they use cheese curds and maple syrup on alot of things but I found the atmosphere alot better not noisy like pure and simple gets when it's busy ...a must try for me“
“This place is a total gem. The dining area is quite cozy but comfortably so. The food was genuinely made from scratch including the bread which was very good. The little salad next to my eggs Benedict was surprisingly good too, they could have gotten away with throwing down a spinach leaf or two but there was a good variety of tasty veggies. Good coffee too. Surprisingly for such a small place they have an espresso machine too. Prices are very reasonable. As for the one bad review I saw I can only imagine they were having a bad day, the kind where things spiral out of control. We’ve all been there. The waiter did bring cream and milk to the table in the full containers, and put them back in the fridge when we were done. No waste that way, and it just went along with the homey vibe for me but I can see how it might lead to a spill. I also liked that the whole kitchen is open to the front. Overall, a highlight of my trip to Halifax.“
“I've been going every week with friends for early bird as seniors who that's mostly who is there before 830 am it was affordable now the prices went up 3.00 for early bird and less hashbrowns and no fruit regular breakfast after early bird went up 70 cents so only hurting seniors who can't afford to eat there otherwise my family bought me 200 dollars in gift cards as that what I asked for christmas when that gone sadly we won't be back as can't afford shame on you pur and simpleKid-friendliness: Very goodWheelchair accessibility: Good“
